By 4 p.m., Jania was already parked outside Ephyra's school, her fingers drumming lightly on the steering wheel as she waited.
Finally, she saw Ephyra's figure emerge among a group of three other students—a boy and two girls. Jania watched as Ephyra exchanged farewells with her friends before jogging over to the car.
"Hey," Ephyra greeted casually, climbing into the passenger seat. "Why are you the one picking me up?"
"I have something to tell you," Jania said as she started the engine and eased the car into traffic.
Eira arched a brow, leaning back against the seat. "What is it?"
