Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The New Beginning...

The storm raged on with unrelenting fury, the dark clouds above twisting and churning as if driven by a malevolent force. Amidst the chaos, a solitary figure stood, her presence so commanding that it seemed to still the very elements around her. Clad in a dark blue cloth that clung to her in the downpour, she exuded an aura of otherworldly grace and power.

She was only a few steps away from the unconscious boy, her stance poised and resolute. A glowing aura began to manifest around her, sending out golden sparks tinged with purple, cutting through the storm's gloom. The sparks flickered and danced in the rain, creating a mesmerizing display of light against the backdrop of thunder and lightning.

Time seemed to stretch as she stood motionless, her ethereal beauty only accentuated by the storm's wild energy. The fierce winds and relentless rain served as a dramatic backdrop, highlighting her statue-like presence amidst the chaos. The golden-purple sparks intensified, swirling around her with increasing frequency and brilliance, as if reacting to her will.

With deliberate grace, she stepped toward the boy. As she moved, the golden sparks flared even brighter, their purple hue deepening into a vibrant, pulsating glow. The energy surrounding her surged with each step, forming a protective barrier of light that pushed back against the storm's wrath.

Despite the storm's fury, the figure's aura seemed to transcend it, her warmth and light a stark contrast to the cold, tumultuous elements. The downpour and howling winds were momentarily eclipsed by the radiance emanating from her.

As she drew near the boy, a sudden change unfolded. The radiant sparks that had dominated the scene, bending the very elements to her will, suddenly dissipated. It was as though an invisible force had stripped away her power, leaving the clearing starkly different from before.

Her violet eyes, once the epitome of power and authority, began to lose their brilliance. The fierce glow that had commanded respect and awe gradually faded, replaced by a softer, more subdued light. The eyes that once exuded control and dominance now held a gentler expression.

In their place, her eyes glimmered with a deep, oceanic blue, as profound and mysterious as the depths of the sea. This new hue was a striking contrast to the previous display of strength. Her blue eyes radiated a soothing calmness, embodying love, servitude, and nurturing grace. They reflected the tranquil light of the moon, offering a sense of peace and protection in the midst of the storm's fury.

At the same time, her human ears vanished as if carried away by the wind. In their place, two elegant, snowy white fox-like ears emerged atop her head. These new ears, with their pristine fur and delicate form, accentuated her mystical and serene transformation.

The shift from violet to blue eyes marked a transition from raw power to serene gentleness. Where the violet eyes had commanded awe, the blue eyes now conveyed a calming presence, embodying a protective and loving spirit amidst the relentless storm.

Amidst the storm, the goddess-like figure, radiant even in the chaos, murmured softly, "You've grown so much in these five years... Master."

Her voice, though soft, carried profound affection and joy. A wide smile spread across her face, reflecting her happiness at this long-awaited reunion. Yet, despite the joy, her fox-like ears drooped slightly, betraying a hint of sorrow or distress.

She moved closer to the boy lying in the clearing, his clothes torn and ragged, his hair matted with mud and rain, and his legs submerged in the cold water pooling around him. The relentless rain soaked him, making his already dire situation worse.

Gently, she lowered herself to sit beside him, her eyes never leaving his face. Her gaze was filled with concern and affection, her thoughts racing with worry.

'Master, what should I do now? He remains in such a deep slumber, and he's getting soaked. I can't touch him without his permission... can I?'

Her heart ached with a deep sense of urgency and helplessness as she struggled to find a way to protect him from the harsh elements.

Desperation overtook her as the rain continued to drench him. She blinked, realizing tears were streaming down her cheeks. 'I can feel my master's emotions, can't I? Then why... why is he in such sorrow?'

Her tears mirrored her confusion and sorrow, grappling with the overwhelming sense of his suffering despite their separation. Her fox ears twitched with distress, and her eyes, glowing with oceanic blue light, reflected a mixture of love and helplessness. The storm raged on around them, but within the small, fragile space of the clearing, her focus remained solely on her master, torn between her desire to act and the constraints imposed upon her.

Suddenly, a memory surfaced in her mind: "If you find something you wish to do and Kaito doesn't refuse it, you are free to act. And anyway, it's not so bad to face a bit of punishment from your master once in a while, is it?"

With this recollection guiding her, she moved with newfound resolve, her cheeks slightly flushed. Her trembling hands reached toward her master, delicate as if she were about to pick up something precious.

Tears still glistened in her eyes, her fox ears drooped sadly, and a faint blush colored her cheeks. Carefully, she slid her slender hands beneath his head and abdomen, lifting him with gentle strength.

As she cradled him, her face came close to his, casting a shadow over his features. Where raindrops had previously dampened his face, now her own tears began to fall, mingling with the rain as they soaked his cheeks.

After carefully lifting him into her arms, she felt an unusual warmth emanating from her body, contrasting sharply with the coolness of the surrounding storm. "Why... why does Master have to endure so much pain?" she whispered to herself, her voice laced with sorrow.

Holding her beloved master close, she navigated through the grassy expanse, the lush greenery fading in importance next to the urgency of her task. She made her way to a slightly elevated platform where several trees stood, their branches heavy with rain.

Reaching the base of one of the trees, she turned her back to it for support. With deliberate care, she slid down the tree trunk, her movements slow and cautious, as if trying to protect the fragile moment between them. She settled herself against the rough bark, her posture a careful blend of strength and gentleness. Her master's head rested against her left shoulder, mere centimeters away from her own, their closeness a soothing balm amid the storm's chaos.

Amidst the relentless downpour of rain and tears, she drew even closer to her master, her heart breaking with every shuddering breath. The flood of her emotions mingled with the rain, her face streaked with both her tears and the storm's fury. With her voice barely more than a whisper, trembling with raw, unrestrained anguish, she declared, "You're not alone, Master... I'm right here by your side, and I will be... as long as you want, My Lord."

Her words were a desperate plea, a heartfelt vow that transcended the storm's chaos. Each syllable was heavy with her profound grief and boundless devotion, echoing the depth of her commitment to stand beside him through every trial, no matter how fierce the tempest or how deep the despair.
