Chapter 24 - separate 4

Due to her profession, Ye Shu Ya's work hours are very irregular. When she has fewer classes, she used to go home immediately. However, recently she has been particularly fond of going to that coffee shop, ordering a dessert, slowly savoring her coffee, and then watching the happily married couple. When it's almost time, she would go grocery shopping and cook for Su Yao, her culinary skills becoming increasingly refined.

Her days are plain and uneventful, but with the nourishment of love, she is very happy every day.

Su Yao's profession is also very special, commonly known as a freelance worker. However, his job is obviously very relaxed, but the price of a painting he sells is beyond her reach.

When she came home, she happened to meet Su Yao coming out of the studio. He smiled at her, took the basket of vegetables in her hand with one hand, and put the other hand around her waist, "Hmm? Did you go to that coffee shop again today?"

Ye Shu Ya was very surprised, "How did you know?"

Su Yao leaned down and kissed her lips, his tongue sliding across the corner of her mouth, "Did you have Tiramisu today?"

"Ah?" She hurriedly pushed him away, and her high heels clicked into the house. Su Yao smiled and closed the door.

When she came out with an embarrassed look on her face, Su Yao had already put the vegetables she bought on the kitchen counter. She regretfully patted her head, "So embarrassed, I actually walked around the vegetable market like this, no wonder they looked at me so strangely! Especially the aunt at the entrance of the vegetable market, she stared at me for a long time, and didn't even tell me! I always didn't bargain with her, oh, it's too embarrassing!"

Su Yao looked at her with a smile.

Ye Shu Ya sighed for a few more sentences before slowly walking over and sitting on the sofa with Su Yao. She chattered for a while, and Su Yao was holding a magazine, flipping through it while listening to Ye Shu Ya's chatter.

As she talked, Ye Shu Ya became thirsty. She grabbed Su Yao's magazine, "I'm thirsty."

Su Yao glanced at her and stood up. Ye Shu Ya watched Su Yao's back as he poured water, feeling a sense of achievement. Every time she asked Su Yao to do something, she felt very happy, with a very subtle feeling. Especially when seeing a handsome man who is breathtakingly good-looking gently handing you a glass of water, that feeling is very refreshing.

She flipped through a few pages of the magazine in her hand, all about abstract things, which she found boring, and threw it aside, casually asking, "When is your art exhibition going to be held?"

Su Yao replied, "June 10th."

"Eh?" She was taken aback, she had seen this date on Su Yao's ID card before, "Is it your birthday?"

"Hmm."

Su Yao came back with the water, holding it and walking towards her slowly. She looked at Su Yao's face and suddenly thought of another similar face, "Is it your sister's birthday too? Will your sister go?"

Su Yao's steps paused, his face seemed to change, but quickly returned to normal, and he handed the water to her, "No."

She quietly observed his expression, "Why not?"

He was a bit impatient, "There's no why."

She "oh"ed, took a sip of water, and it seemed that every time the topic of his sister came up, the two would become unusually silent. Although Su Yao had explained before, she still felt a inexplicable thorn in her heart.

She tried hard to find a topic, "Can I go to the art exhibition that day?"

He noticed the atmosphere between the two, and seeing Ye Shu Ya's somewhat shrinking eyes, he couldn't help but regret. He reached out his arm and put it around her shoulder, pulling her into his arms, and softened his voice, "Of course you can."

Ye Shu Ya opened her mouth, but she couldn't speak. It was better when Su Yao didn't coax her, but when he did, she felt that he had done something wrong. Only those who have done something wrong would suddenly change their attitude, especially a man like Su Yao who takes pride as his daily bread.

Her heart began to feel uneasy again. The water in the cup was warm, but holding it in her hand, she felt it was cold, passing through the palm of her hand, all the way to her heart.

Su Yao said again, "Ya Ya, don't think about it. I was in a bad mood just now, I apologize."

She nodded and took a sip of water.

Su Yao reached for her water cup, "Do you know, when you think about it, you like to bite things. Look, the cup is almost bitten to pieces by you."

Ye Shu Ya glared at her, "How could I? This cup is made of porcelain!"

Su Yao put his face forward, "Come on, do whatever you want, as long as you don't think about it."

Ye Shu Ya was not polite either, reached out and pinched his face hard, not letting go until it turned red. But in this way, she felt distressed, and her fingers touched it, regretting it very much.

Su Yao held her fingers, held them in his hand, and kissed them, asking with a smile, "Are you relieved?"

She nodded.

Su Yao pulled her over, "Don't think about those messy things anymore."

"Okay." Ye Shu Ya jumped off the sofa, "From now on, you can't use your face to tempt me anymore. When I'm angry, I don't know the weight, in case I pinch you bad, Dain would scold me to death. I'm going to cook."

Ye Shu Ya tied her loose hair into a bunch and put on an apron. Su Yao looked at her with a smile in his eyes.

Just now Ye Shu Ya also mentioned Dain, and then Dain's call came. Every time Su Yao saw it, he felt uncomfortable. Dain's call, apart from urging him to check his body, would also tirelessly explain what problems his body should pay attention to.

He glanced up at Ye Shu Ya, who was cooking in the kitchen, and took the mobile phone and walked towards the bedroom.

Sure enough, as soon as he answered, Dain said: "Su, it's time, you should go for a physical examination."

Su Yao perfunctorily responded.

"Have you had dinner?"

"I'm about to."

...

After ending the call, as soon as he walked out of the bedroom, he saw Ye Shu Ya setting the table. He went over to help and carried the dishes from the kitchen counter to the dining table one by one. When Ye Shu Ya took off the apron, she casually asked, "Who just called?"

Su Yao paused, filled the rice, and did not conceal, "It's Dain."

Hearing Dain's name, she subconsciously looked at the red mark on his face and said with some guilt: "Fortunately, Dain is not here, otherwise I would be nagged by him." Sometimes it's really hard to imagine that a man who looks like a nobleman would become like a bomb when it comes to Su Yao's issues.

Su Yao smiled, "It doesn't matter, I'm here."

She hummed, "That's right, this is your fault in the first place."

Faced with such a woman's question, Su Yao knew that keeping silent was the best answer. He sat down, scooped a spoonful of steamed egg into her bowl, "Ya Ya, eat more."

Ye Shu Ya immediately smiled, "You should eat more too, your complexion has not been very good recently." She sat down, her eyes fixed on Su Yao's face, "Hmm, should I buy some blood-enriching food..."

"Don't. I've been like this since I was a child, it's not a big deal."

Hearing this, Ye Shu Ya sighed, "Ah Yao, when will you tell me what's wrong with you?"

Su Yao scooped a spoonful of soup and brought it to her mouth, "Here, have a sip."

She glared at him, took the spoon in her mouth, and mumbled: "You're evading my question again."

Su Yao smiled, and Ye Shu Ya had to give up.

Halfway through the meal, the doorbell rang. Ye Shu Ya and Su Yao were both stunned. This house rarely had visitors, Ye Shu Ya had few friends, so there was no guest room in the house. Similarly, not many people knew that Su Yao lived here.

In the end, it was Su Yao who opened the door.

"Surprise."

Dain hugged a very young girl and casually smiled at Su Yao at the door. Ye Shu Ya came out upon hearing the sound, saw the girl next to Dain, paused for a moment, but still said with a smile: "It's you."

"Yes, Xiao Ya."

For Dain's address, Su Yao showed great dissatisfaction first, "Dain, you are not so familiar with her."

Dain raised his eyebrows, "Xiao Ya, are we not familiar?"

Ye Shu Ya did not want to answer this question, and she has always been very friendly to Su Yao's friends, "Don't stand at the door, come in."

As soon as Dain entered the door, he smelled the fragrance of the meal, and his deep blue eyes were full of surprise. "Great, there is soup, I love Chinese soup the most. Xiao Ya, can I have a bowl?"

Ye Shu Ya filled a bowl for Dain and the young girl next to him. She looked very shy, took the soup bowl with both hands, and whispered a "thank you."

Su Yao sat down with a black face.

Ye Shu Ya also sat down to continue eating. Dain tasted a few mouthfuls, took a deep look at her, and said, "The taste of this soup is very Su-style."

She understood and said, "If the soup is too salty, it is not good for the body." Since she knew Su Yao's preferences, every time she cooked or made soup, the taste was very light. She didn't know if it was because she had been with Su Yao for a long time, and she gradually began to like light-tasting food.

After Dain finished a bowl, the girl next to him had only drunk half a small bowl. As if noticing Ye Shu Ya's gaze, she looked up and smiled at her friendly. Dain introduced: "This is my little girlfriend."

Ye Shu Ya took a look, without any evaluation or comment, just nodded, which was a greeting.

Su Yao has been silent from beginning to end.

Until Dain casually said: "Oh, right. Tomorrow is the time for a physical examination, I'll be at the hospital at eight o'clock."

Su Yao's face became even darker.

Ye Shu Ya asked, "What kind of physical examination?"

Dain explained very friendly, "Su's body needs to be checked regularly every month."

"Is that so..." Ye Shu Ya thought about it, "I happen to be free tomorrow morning, Ah Yao, I'll go with you."

Su Yao had no choice but to say: "...Okay."

Dain smiled very happily.
