Sero and Y/N had been dating for a few months now, and they felt like they were in a blissful bubble of happiness. Both of them had busy schedules with their hero training, but tonight they made a pact to carve out some quality time together. Sero, ever the laid-back charmer, suggested a cozy diner downtown known for its retro vibe and mouth-watering milkshakes. Y/N loved the idea, especially since it meant getting a break from their rigorous training routines.
As they walked hand in hand through the bustling streets, laughter echoed between them. They shared stories about their day and playfully teased each other, excitement bubbling in the air. What they didn't know was that their friends were just around the corner, ready to ambush them in the most unexpected way.
Meanwhile, Denki, Bakugo, Mina, and Kirishima were on a mission of their own. After a long day of training, they had decided to go for dinner and were trying to find the perfect spot. Just as they rounded a corner, they spotted the cute couple through the diner's large front window.
"Whoa! Look over there!" Denki exclaimed, pointing dramatically.
The other three shared a look of disbelief. "Are they… on a date?" Mina whispered, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Kirishima's grin widened. "They look super cute together!"
Bakugo scowled, his arms crossed defiantly. "Tch, whatever. They shouldn't be wasting time on dates when they're supposed to be training. Especially Y/N. They should focus on becoming a hero!"
The group fell silent for a moment, watching Sero and Y/N laugh and sip their milkshakes. Their closeness made it clear how happy they were in that moment.
"Let's go say hi!" Mina said, bouncing on her heels like a rubber ball, excitement radiating off her.
"Wait," Bakugo interrupted, lifting a hand. "We should decide if we're gonna tease them or just act cool about it. I vote we tease."
"Definitely tease," Kirishima agreed with a wide grin. Denki nodded fervently, his usual energy taking over.
With a plan set in place, they ambled into the diner, which was packed with a lively crowd. Sero and Y/N were still oblivious to their friends' presence, too caught up in their little world to notice the impending disruption.
As they made their way over to the couple, Denki couldn't hold his excitement back. "Hey, lovebirds!" he called out comically loud, drawing the attention of patrons nearby.
Sero and Y/N both jumped in surprise, turning to see their friends approaching. Sero's mouth dropped open while Y/N's cheeks turned bright red.
"Mina! Kirishima! Bakugo! Denki! What are you guys doing here?" Y/N stammered, trying to regain composure.
"Oh, you know, just checking out what you two are up to on your cute little date!" Mina cooed, a teasing lilt to her voice.
Kirishima stepped forward with a huge grin. "You guys look awesome together! Seriously, it's good to see you having fun."
Bakugo crossed his arms, a smirk playing on his lips. "Shouldn't you both be training instead of wasting time like this? We've got a big fight coming up!"
Sero rubbed the back of his neck, trying to act cool while internally freaking out about their sudden intrusion. "We were just… taking a break, you know?"
Denki leaned in, practically bouncing with energy. "Yeah, taking a break from being adorable together!"
Y/N giggled despite their face feeling hot. "This wasn't exactly how we imagined the evening going, but it's nice to see you guys."
Instead of feeling frustrated or embarrassed, Sero chuckled, clearly amused by the chaos. They ended up pulling their friends into the booth, making the evening one they would all remember.
As milkshakes were shared, and laughter filled the air, Sero and Y/N found themselves enjoying the chaotic camaraderie. Their date may have been unexpectedly hijacked, but in that moment, surrounded by friends, it felt just as special.
And in true Bakugo fashion, as their playful banter continued, he grumbled, "Just don't act all lovey-dovey when we're training. We've got a reputation to uphold."
With shockingly contagious laughter, the rest of their night was filled with warmth, joy, and a reminder that sometimes, the best memories are made when things don't go exactly as planned.
