"Good morning miss Amber." Stacey greeted once she noticed my presence. "Good morning Stacey." I replied, as it was my usual routine of always responding to her greetings the minute I walk in.
I placed my breakfast on the table beside my laptop, fore checking my email for new emails. "What are my schedules, Stacey." I called out, seeing she was a little bit absent minded. "Your meeting with the lumina corporation was approved, but you have to be there in person...." Stacey went on and on with the very busy schedule that I had. "The lumina meetings is holding at exactly 2pm this afternoon." She reminded me before leaving for her office.
*knock knock* a knock came rapping on my door few hours after Stacey left. "Come in" I called to the person at my door.
I could see David peeking into my office to see if I was busy or not. "You know you can just come in or rather stay there" I rolled my eyes at his reaction. "Good morning miss Amber" he greeted as he walked in. I stared at him for a while before saying "Could you quit the formalities David and have a so. Why are you so shy right now?" I asked with a raised brow at him. "I came to inform you that the lumina company wants you to be at the meeting today" he said as he kept a serious face.
I couldn't help but smile at his words. He sounded like a boyfriend who was scared of offending his bossy girlfriend with his choice of words. "Stacey already filled me in with the info" I told him, which got an 'O' from him. "I would head back to my office now" he said before going for the door. "Wait, David... "Yes miss Amber" he faced me. "You would be accompanying to the meeting this afternoon by 2" I informed him before letting him leave.
I closed my laptop and took with me some important files that I would be needing. I got to my car and was surprise to be seeing David said beside his car. "David, what are you doing" I asked. "Following you for a business meeting" he responded. "Going for a business meeting in different cars. Are you forgetting it a business meeting and you are my partner I mean business partner...like you know... My...associate" I stuttered trying to say the right appropriate word to address who he was. "I get it. A business associate partner" he corrected. "Yeah.. Yeah, that" I said feeling silly for my mistake.
Entering into the lumina corporation, we were ushered to the meeting room, where we waited for a whole 30 minutes. "Good afternoon Miss Amber, mister David" they both greeted us both. "Afternoon Mr James, Mr Thomas" we both greeted back in response. Getting seated I couldn't just hold myself from not letting them know how wrong if is to keep a client waiting. "You know Mr James, it's actually bad to keep a client waiting. Especially one's with busy schedules" I stated. "My bad, I'm so sorry for keeping such a beauty waiting" Mr James said in a flirting tone.
"Why don't we focus on making this deal a success" I said with a half smile on my face. "Well... About the business deal" Mr James started off stuttering. "The deal is been called off" he announced. I just couldn't believe what I heard. "The deal is off? Why? There must be a reason right?." I questioned in annoyance.
"Well, we found a more better appealing offer"Mr James stated proudly. "But my company was the first you approached and it hadn't been up to two days since we cancelled and rearrange another meeting?." I said trying to pry information out from them, which I succeeded to do so.
"Let just say the onyx industries know how to make good deals" Mr James said with a smirk on his face. "You know I can reconsider giving you another deal, if only you are willing to do some things" he said as he reached for her hands. Disgusted by his approach, I stood up and walked out with David following suit.

I was so upset that I yelled at everyone I came across, David and Stacey included. I got into my office and was surprised to see my best friend seated there in flesh and blood. "Lily tran, are you for real?." I pinched myself to be sure my best friend was truly here. "I think you would have to bang your head against the wall, just to believe I'm here" she said, smiling at me before pulling me into an embrace. I couldn't help but shed a few tears. 'How I have missed this lovely soul' I thought to myself. "I have missed you greatly" she wiped off her stained cheek with the back of her hands.
"What are you doing here in Azuria?" I poured out some coffee for her. "Well i missed a particular friend" she said with a grin on her face. "Uhn uhn, Lily I know you well enough. You are not just here to see me. What are you here for?" I question in a more serious tone this time.
"Guess you've caught me. I'm here for an auction which will be held at at the forum auction at pavilion" she rolled her eyes at me.
I gave a knowingly look, a look of 'I know you are here for something and not just to see'. "I knew it" I clasped my hands together. She gave me those puppy eyes of hers that I can't seem to refuse before adding "You would following me right?".
" Fine, I would." I grunted.
"Let's go, or we're going to be late." She pulled me out with her as she exited the building in excitement.
We stopped by a bouquet to get ourselves a dress for the auction. It was 7:30pm and we were already dolled up in our makeover and dress by a lily's stylist.
I couldn't help but compliment myself at her perfectly stunning I looked in my auction dress. "Wow! I look so gorgeous in this outfit." I was putting on a midnight bloom dress, a fitted luxurious velvet mermaid dress that accentuated my curves. The dress cinches at the waist, creating a dramatic, flared silhouette that showcased my toned legs.
Lily's dress was a floral one, with some beads embrode at the top of the dress, which flowed all the way down to the ground, with a split at the side, revealing her perfect legs.
