It took a few minutes for the game to restart after Anton's injury. The break had given everyone a moment to regroup, but the atmosphere felt subdued, as if the team was absorbing the impact of losing one of their own mid-game. With runners on the corners and two outs, Salem had a chance to rally, but unfortunately, the offense fizzled out. Malmö secured the third out, bringing the inning to a disappointing close. Not exactly the momentum-shift Salem had hoped for, but they still held a comfortable lead, 11-3.
