Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: The God of Thunder

The environment at the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility was in a state of constant vigilance. Grant and Clint, armed and alert, kept their eyes on the monitoring screens and the surrounding area. Tensions were high, with every member of the security team aware of the importance of the mission and the need to keep the hammer safe.

Suddenly, Clint's headset crackled with an urgent voice.

"Barton, can you hear me?" the voice of the facility's security guard sounded clear and concerned.

"Yes, I can hear you," Clint replied, his voice calm but with a note of tension. "What's going on?"

"We have a problem," the security guard continued. "A very strong blond man has just knocked down some of our agents and is trying to lift the hammer."

The information made Grant's heart race. He looked at Clint, who immediately looked surprised.

"Confirmed," Clint told the security guard. — Are you asking to neutralize the subject?

"Negative," the security guard replied. "Coulson asked to just observe. We don't know exactly what's going on yet."

Grant and Clint exchanged worried glances, both aware that the situation was about to get more complicated. Grant quickly approached Coulson, who was coordinating operations from the control center.

"Coulson, we've had an incident," Grant reported. "A blond man is trying to lift the hammer and has knocked down a few agents."

Coulson, with a focused expression, looked at Grant.

"We received the same information," Coulson said. "Director Fury instructed me to just observe for now. We don't know enough about the subject. We need to understand the situation before we act."

Grant nodded, knowing that any hasty action could result in unintended consequences. They quickly headed to the interrogation room where the blond man was being held.

The interrogation room was austere and secure, equipped with the essentials for obtaining information. The blond man sat at the table, his expression determined and his gaze piercing. Grant and Coulson entered, and the man turned his head to face them.

"Here we are," Coulson said, assuming an authoritative stance. "Let's try to figure out who you are and what you're doing here."

Grant watched closely. The man had an imposing presence, and there was something unmistakably powerful in his posture. It was clear that this was no ordinary adversary. Grant, with his vast experience, began to connect the dots.

"My name is Grant Ward, and this is Phil Coulson." Grant introduced himself directly. "We're here to understand why you tried to lift the hammer and what else you're after."

The blond man, with a deep, firm tone, answered.

"My name is Thor," he said, the seriousness in his voice unmistakable. "The hammer belongs to me."

Grant could hardly believe what he had just heard. In his mind, he recognized that he was standing before the God of Thunder himself, a legendary character from the stories and myths he knew well from his past life. He tried to maintain his composure, but the realization was clear in his eyes.

"Thor?" Grant repeated, trying to process the information. "Are you saying you're the Thor of Norse legend?"

Thor fixed him with a firm but not hostile gaze.

"Yes, I am Thor, son of Odin, and the hammer is my birthright," Thor replied. "I have been banished from my kingdom and I need the hammer to restore my power and position."

Coulson, with his analytical gaze, began to question Thor about what he knew about the current situation and why he was here. The conversation continued with a more probing tone.

"If you are truly who you say you are, then how did you know the location of the hammer?" Coulson asked. "And why try to lift it here?"

Thor looked at Coulson with a mixture of frustration and determination.

"The search for my hammer brought me here." — Thor explained. — I felt your presence, and I knew you were close. I just needed the hammer to regain my strength.

Grant watched closely. The conversation was revealing more than he had expected, and he realized that he was dealing with something much bigger than a simple security situation. Thor's presence and the hammer situation were a reflection of much larger events.

As the conversation continued, Grant allowed himself a moment of introspection. He was faced with a mythological figure, someone whose existence defied common understanding. In his mind, he reflected on his past life as David Blake and his knowledge of the stories and myths surrounding Thor.

"So, you really are Thor," Grant thought, struggling to stay focused. "This is something I never thought I would see, not even in my wildest imaginations."

Grant knew he needed to stay calm and focused on the mission. Thor's presence could mean an opportunity for to gain valuable information and better understand the strengths and weaknesses of the artifact they were protecting. At the same time, he knew that any mistake could have dire consequences.

Thor continued to explain his situation, providing details about its origins and why the hammer was essential to him. He described the relationship between the hammer and his power, and how its absence had weakened him.

"The hammer is not just a weapon," Thor said. "It is a symbol of my power and authority. Without it, I am at a disadvantage and cannot fulfill my destiny."

Coulson and Grant listened intently, taking in every word. They knew the situation was complex and that Thor's presence could have implications for global security and the operation of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"We understand," Coulson said, a note of consideration in his voice. "But we need to ensure everyone's safety and ensure that the hammer is not misused."

Thor nodded, understanding their position, but clearly frustrated with the situation.

"I understand your concern," Thor said. — But I ask that you allow me to retrieve the hammer so that I may restore my strength and fulfill my destiny.

After a lengthy discussion, Grant and Coulson decided that they needed more information before making any decisions about how to deal with Thor and the hammer. The God of Thunder was kept in custody while the S.H.I.E.L.D. team continued to assess the situation and consider their options.

Grant, as he prepared to end the conversation, reflected on the magnitude of what he had just experienced. He knew that he was dealing with something far beyond the ordinary missions and that Thor's presence could have significant repercussions for the future.

"Thor, we will keep you in custody for now," Grant said, trying to keep his tone professional. "We need to ensure that the situation is safe before making any decisions." Thor nodded, his expression showing a mixture of frustration and acceptance. He knew the situation was complicated and was willing to cooperate to resolve the problem.

"I understand," Thor replied. "Do whatever you deem necessary, but remember, the hammer is essential to my power and my return."

As Grant and Coulson walked away from the interrogation room, Grant felt the weight of the situation on his shoulders. He knew they were dealing with something that could have a profound impact on global security and the understanding of the world.

"This is something I never expected to see," Grant said to Coulson, his voice full of reflection. "We're dealing with a true myth here."

Coulson, with his usual calm, nodded. "Yes, this is a significant development," Coulson said. "We will continue to monitor the situation and ensure everything is under control."

Grant and Coulson braced themselves for the challenges that lay ahead, knowing that they were in the midst of a unique and potentially life-changing situation. Thor's presence and the enigma of the hammer were only the beginning of a series of events that could shape the future of their operations and global security.

The mission was far from over, and Grant knew there was still much to be resolved. But with the determination and focus that had always characterized him, he was prepared to face whatever came next.
