Kairon's world spun, his body tumbling into the light, his limbs no longer under his control. The golden tendrils wrapped tighter, pulling him deeper into the earth, deeper into something he couldn't comprehend. The familiar sensation of ancient power washed over him — the same force that had haunted him in his sleep, now real and undeniable.
His body drifted in the golden light, suspended between worlds. The air around him shimmered with the glow of runes and symbols he had never seen before, ancient and incomprehensible. He tried to focus, but his mind was a haze, his thoughts scattering like leaves in a storm.
"Where am I?" Kairon's voice was little more than a whisper, lost in the void.
A figure emerged from the golden haze. Tall and cloaked in radiant light, the figure moved with the grace of something not quite human. His eyes glowed with a deep, celestial power, and his voice, when it came, was the same voice from Kairon's dreams.
"You have been chosen," the figure said, his voice booming like thunder in the silence. "You are the inheritor of the Breath of Destiny."
Kairon's heart raced. "Chosen? No... you must have the wrong person. I'm just a hunter... nothing more."
The figure's gaze bore into him, unyielding. "There is no mistake. The power that sleeps within you is ancient. It is time for it to awaken. You must fulfill your destiny — to unlock the seal and save this world from the darkness that is coming."
Kairon's mind rebelled against the words. "I don't want any of this. I just want my life back. My village, my home — none of this is real!"
The figure's eyes narrowed, his voice cold and final. "Fate does not ask what you want. It only delivers what must be."
With that, the runes around Kairon blazed brighter, the power they held flowing into him. His body rose from the ground, lifted by invisible hands, and golden light surged through his veins, awakening something deep within. A searing heat rushed through him, his vision going white as the world dissolved around him.
"From this moment on, you are no longer just a hunter," the figure's voice echoed as Kairon's consciousness began to fade. "Your destiny has only just begun."
The golden light exploded, and Kairon collapsed back to the earth, the brilliance fading into nothing. His body was heavy, his mind clouded, and in the distance, he could hear the faint cries of his village — but they felt distant, like echoes from another life.
And then, everything went dark.
