A century ago, the land was divided by a war between human and vampire realms . Blood flowed like rivers, and darkness settled over both kingdoms as the war showed no sign of ending. The earth seemed scary by the unending battles between the two sides.
In the heart of the vampire kingdom, Noctaris, Prince Viktor, a ruthless ruler with eyes like burning coals, stood infront of his council. His throne room, was filled with murmurs of frustration and desperation. The walls, adorned with ancient things , seemed to filled with the weight of the war's destruction.
On the other hand , across the border, the human king, Edward, held a council between his own people. His castle, was filled with many people to solve the conflict between two sides . His advisors, are present there in very bad condition, covered with blood.
Both rulers, caged in an unending struggle, knew the war had to end before it destroy everything . So, a fateful meeting was arranged between Viktor and Edward, held in the late hours where neither realm could watch.
Underneath an ancient oak, whose long branches seemed to whisper secrets of the past, the two kings finally came face-to-face. The tension was in the atmosphere, the silence covered the surrounding as their eyes locked .
"I wants to end this war " Viktor said, his voice like a growl. His gaze was dark , his demeanor cold and commanding.
"Your people aren't the only ones suffering," Edward said , his voice speak with a mixture of anger . "But if we must continue this, then we need a solution that ensures peace for both our realms.
A pact was proposed—a agreement that would ensure peace but at a cost. To prevent further bloodshed, a yearly tribute of twenty-five girls from the human villages would be sent to Noctaris. They would serve the vampire royalty, and in return, the vampires would stop their attacks, leaving the human world in peace.
The pacts rules were harsh, but both rulers were ready to sacrifice a portion of their own to end the suffering. As the ink dried on the ancient paper , signed with blood and sealed with magic, the weight of the agreement settled over both kingdoms .
The years passed, and the pact became a important tradition. The people of Ravenbrook accepted their fate without fighting for it , knowing that their sacrifices will keep the peace between their world and the vampire kingdom.
