Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: This Boy Is Terrifying; He Must Not Be Kept Alive!

Naruto didn't quite know how to describe it…

The villagers of Konoha were too enthusiastic!

Honestly, he didn't really need a log cabin while training in this small forest. If he wanted to rest, he could simply toss a space portal and head home. There was no need for such extra trouble.

But Naruto simply couldn't refuse the persistence of this group of enthusiastic uncles, all fighting over the chance to build him a cabin. It made him feel rather embarrassed.

Faced with such enthusiasm, it would really be impolite to keep refusing them.

Sasuke, meanwhile, stood dumbfounded, watching these villagers build a cabin from scratch in less than an hour.

"Uchiha Sasuke?"

"What are you doing here?"

After bidding farewell to the overly helpful villagers, Naruto noticed Sasuke standing nearby, looking rather… lost.

"Nothing..." Sasuke stammered, quickly looking away, avoiding Naruto's gaze.

Internally, Sasuke cursed himself for being an idiot. This guy is so strong, he didn't need me to remind him at all!

The memory of his earlier anxiousness made Sasuke feel utterly embarrassed. He glanced at Naruto out of the corner of his eye before turning and walking back the way he came, without looking back.

Naruto scratched his head, confused, watching Sasuke leave and then glancing at the direction the uncles had gone.

'What on earth was going on today? Why did everyone seem so... strange?'

"Whatever, I'm going home for dinner."

Naruto muttered to himself, and with a toss of his space portal, he transported himself home.

---

That night, a thought suddenly occurred to Naruto. Curious, he asked, "Hey, Kurama, did you check out the chakra of those people in the classroom today?"

He had been curious about how big the gap was between him and the others.

"What's there to check? Other than that Uchiha kid, no one else stands out."

Naruto thought back to when he had scanned Sasuke's chakra earlier and asked, somewhat uncertain, "Half a mag?"

"No, his chakra has already reached 5 mag."

Hearing that Sasuke's chakra had multiplied tenfold, Naruto couldn't help but gasp in shock.

"Hiss—! This kid is terrifying! He absolutely cannot be allowed to stay!"

Kurama: ….

'What nonsense was this kid spouting now? Only 5 mag? You've got over 100 mag of chakra yourself, and you're worried about some little brat?'

Kurama couldn't understand Naruto's sudden outburst and just assumed he was acting crazy again.

Realizing that Kurama wasn't going along with his joke, Naruto felt rather bored. Sigh... If there's one downside to traveling to a different world, it's that no one gets my references anymore. It's no fun at all.

Naruto tugged at his blanket, bid Kurama a good night, and quickly drifted off to sleep.

---

In the days that followed, Naruto settled into a routine: attending one class in the morning at the academy to make an appearance in front of Iruka-sensei and teasing the little Hinata. Then, in the afternoon, he would head to the small forest by the river to train.

It was a very regular schedule.

As for Naruto's frequent skipping of classes, the Third Hokage watched with concern but couldn't do anything about it. If not for the fact that he had spoken with Naruto before, the boy probably wouldn't even show up for his morning classes.

At school, aside from occasionally chatting with his seatmate, Naruto spent most of his time dozing off or staring into space.

The Third Hokage had never encountered a more troublesome kid than Naruto in all his years—even more troublesome than Kushina or Obito had been.

The most frustrating part was that Naruto was incredibly strong, leaving no room to criticize his performance.

After racking his brain for a solution and finding none, the Third Hokage gave up and decided to let Naruto train on his own. He did, however, ask Gai and Kakashi to keep an eye on him, just in case the boy overdid it and injured himself during training.

As for the village's rumors about the Nine-Tails…

No one dared to speak a word about it anymore.

Ever since Naruto had displayed his "natural-born strength" by the river, no civilian had dared to suggest anything about how Naruto should be dealt with.

After all...

If they truly provoked this kid, people feared Naruto might one day pick up a tree and smash their house to pieces.

Who would dare mess with him?

And so, once again, Naruto unintentionally quashed the rumors circulating in Konoha.

---

"Naruto..."

"Where… where do you go every afternoon?"

In the classroom, Hinata—after being teased for several days—seemed to have developed a bit of resistance and wasn't as shy as before. She finally mustered the courage to ask Naruto about his whereabouts.

"I've been training, of course."

Naruto answered absentmindedly. In reality, part of his consciousness was still in the sealed space, discussing future training plans with Kurama.

Last night, he discovered that he could multitask—half of his consciousness in the sealed space and half in the outside world.

The downside was that this made his actions in the outside world rather odd. His movements would lag, like a high-ping player in an online game, sometimes taking forever to react.

"I see…"

Hinata's expression darkened, feeling utterly useless. Naruto was already so strong, and yet he still trained so diligently. Compared to her own meager training sessions at night, she felt nothing but shame.

If only she could train with him…

"Hey, Hinata, how about we train together?"

Naruto suddenly snapped out of the sealed space and turned to Hinata, saying something that made her blush instantly.

"Huh… huh?"

Thud

The sudden joy overwhelmed Hinata, causing her to faint right at her desk.

Naruto scratched his head, feeling helpless. This shy little girl still has a long way to go…

The reason he wanted to train with Hinata was because her Byakugan could see the chakra pathways within the body. If possible, he wanted to get Sasuke involved too.

According to the anime Naruto had seen in his previous life, the Sharingan could not only observe an opponent's chakra but also copy their ninjutsu. At first glance, it seemed similar to the Byakugan, as both could see chakra within the body.

He was curious to understand the exact differences between them.

As for why he needed both Byakugan and Sharingan…

Well, Naruto had discussed it with Kurama, and he wanted to observe Might Guy's Eight Gates technique to create a forbidden jutsu that suited him.

Just thinking about the future, where he could activate his Six Paths Sage Mode and unleash a signature move, followed by the line, "Granny Lee knocking on the door!"—he'd be unbeatable!

Though Kurama didn't quite understand why Naruto was so fixated on that green-clad taijutsu, especially when he could easily be invincible with his own strength, he eventually went along with Naruto's plan. After all, Naruto's body was special; as long as he was still breathing, it was impossible to train him to death.

---

"N-Naruto-kun, you're… you're too close!"

Naruto, eager to get Hinata to follow him, leaned in to wake her up.

"But… but if I skip class, Father will be upset."

Hinata hesitated, looking troubled. She really wanted to skip class and train with Naruto, but if her father found out, he would definitely scold her.

"Then just come after school!"

"It's settled! I'll come find you after class."

Naruto smiled and waved as he casually walked out of the classroom, under the astonished gazes of his classmates. Iruka's forehead veins bulged in frustration.

'Can't this kid at least wait until class is over? No respect at all!'

Iruka sighed, beginning to understand the Third Hokage's frustration. This kid really is a handful...

---

After leaving school, Naruto began sneaking around the village, searching for that green-clad man. He wanted to observe how Might Guy trained on a daily basis.

The Third Hokage, watching Naruto through his crystal ball, knew immediately what the boy was up to.

'Sigh… this generation's Nine-Tails Jinchūriki is truly wasted…'

'Of all things, why is he learning taijutsu?'

The Third Hokage took a deep drag from his pipe and then sent Might Guy on a mission outside the village.

As long as Might Guy isn't in the village...

Maybe Naruto will stop fixating on taijutsu…
