What Can Ning Yi See?
Su Man felt genuinely puzzled.
The person who picked her up was clearly Han Bing; what does that have to do with Ning Yi?
While Su Man was lost in thought, Zhong Jin had already left the room, leaving her alone. The man left quietly; if Su Man hadn't been awake, she wouldn't have even noticed his departure.
Su Man opened her eyes. The heavy drowsiness she felt was almost gone. She got out of bed, wanting to see what was happening.
She didn't think Ning Yi would know anything, but she was truly curious about what Ning Yi was up to. When Ning Yi apologized today, Su Man felt that it wasn't a sincere apology.
Simply put, Ning Yi was not a very sympathetic person.
Su Man quietly opened the door and was surprised to see them in the hallway. Unexpectedly, they hadn't gone far and were standing not too far down the corridor.
Zhong Jin was leaning lazily against the wall, arms crossed. From Su Man's angle, she could only see his back. The man was tall and slender, and his broad back cast a long shadow on the floor of the corridor.
In contrast to the commanding aura of the man, Ning Yi was somewhat disheveled, kneeling on the floor with her hair in a bit of a mess. On either side of her stood two tall, burly security guards, their expressions unfriendly, pressing down on Ning Yi.
One of the guards spoke up, "Young Master, this woman refuses to leave."
"I didn't!" Ning Yi vehemently denied. "I just wanted to see him for a moment."
Su Man was a bit stunned.
She couldn't help but touch her ear, feeling something was off.
At this distance, she wasn't actually very close to Zhong Jin; she could only see a general expression on Ning Yi's face, not much detail. Yet, despite the distance, their voices were crystal clear in Su Man's ears.
Can ordinary people hear that well from so far away?
Before Su Man could ponder this, Ning Yi's voice rang out, "I want to talk to you alone."
Ning Yi seemed like her usual self, but Su Man felt there was something different in her eyes—an expectation…?
However, the man leaning against the wall remained unmoved, never speaking a word.
Anyone could see that he was indifferent and uninterested.
"Is that what you want to say?"
Ning Yi gritted her teeth, her beautiful face betraying no emotion. She gazed at the man before her, thinking this was her last chance, and she couldn't accept failure.
If Su Man could do it, why couldn't she?
Ning Yi spoke, "Master Zhong Jin, I have admired you and worshipped you for a long time."
"Su Man is pregnant, so she can't fulfill your physical needs anymore, but I can."
Ning Yi took off her clothes.
She was wearing a purple lace bra that hugged her curves, exposing the beauty of her figure. She submissively knelt, presenting her bosom as a view to behold. Even with two security guards standing beside her, Ning Yi maintained her composure, ignoring the guards and focusing her gaze on the handsome young man before her, as if only the two of them existed in that moment.
From her distance, Su Man could clearly see Ning Yi's chest.
So Ning Yi has such a good figure.
And her skin is so smooth! No, her breasts are so white and delicate!
Though the two security guards around Ning Yi tried hard to keep their gazes averted, Su Man saw them swallow, likely shocked by Ning Yi's stunning skin—no, captivated by her pale, delicate bosom.
But did Zhong Jin fall for it?
He must have been dazzled, right? After all, he's a man. If Su Man found Ning Yi's figure alluring, how could he not?
In the stillness, a cold laugh broke the silence. "Take her away."
"Yes, sir!"
The two burly guards immediately restrained Ning Yi, causing her to scream in shock. Her eyes instinctively turned toward the young man, filled with bewilderment and helplessness. "Y-Young Master!"
She couldn't understand why things had turned out like this!
Ning Yi prided herself on her emotional control, but even she couldn't adjust so quickly. She wanted to question him, but no words came out.
The handsome young man stepped away from the wall and walked toward Ning Yi, taking measured steps. He was undeniably attractive, but his aura was terrifying. As he approached, he seemed like a devil emerging from hell, descending into the mortal realm.
"Since you know me, have you found out that I really hate being threatened?"
The young man looked down at her, his eyes filled with indifference, showing no sign of being swayed by her beauty. "Especially those fools who think they can manipulate me because they believe they have something on me. Do you know what happened to the last fool who thought so?"
Ning Yi felt a chill run down her spine. Before she could respond, the guards were already dragging her away, quickly creating distance between her and the young man.
This won't do!
If she didn't seize this opportunity, she might never get another chance to see Zhong Jin again.
"I'm not lying!" Ning Yi shouted, but the young man remained unfazed. Ning Yi gritted her teeth. "That person was Wei Luo, right?"
Su Man froze.
In the next moment, Ning Yi shouted again, her face full of unwillingness, almost like a retaliation as she articulated each word clearly. "The one who took Su Man away from you was Wei Luo!"
Wei Luo?
The name seemed to possess a magical quality, drawing out things buried deep in her mind, but in an instant, those thoughts retreated again.
Ning Yi was in a state of despair. She could feel the stares of those around her; it was too late to cover her exposed body.
Why is this happening?
Things shouldn't have developed this way!
For a brief moment, Ning Yi's face contorted with rage, but it vanished in an instant, replaced by a pitiful look, her eyes glistening with tears. "I didn't lie or trick you into coming out. I really saw them. Right before Su Man was picked up by Han Bing..."
At this point, Ning Yi paused, her words hinting at infinite possibilities and ambiguity.
Ning Yi carefully observed the gloomy emotions in the young man's eyes, confirming that they were directed at Su Man and Wei Luo. She slowly spoke, "They've been together for a long time. When I saw them, there was no one else around, but I'm not clear on what exactly they did."
Did Ning Yi realize what she was saying?
She was slandering Su Man!
For a moment, Su Man felt like rushing out. She was not the kind of person to be fickle!
Even if she had amnesia, she didn't think she would have been that kind of person before. Besides, she was already carrying Zhong Jin's child.
She wasn't the type to flirt with someone else behind her boyfriend's back.
But if that were true, why had she gone out from the base?
A man and a woman alone together.
She couldn't possibly not understand the implications of that. So why did she go out with someone named Wei Luo?
Zhong Jin said she had been tricked by bad people.
But according to Ning Yi, she had actively walked away with Wei Luo.
What had she been thinking at that time?
Her head hurt.
Su Man instinctively covered her forehead. She clearly hadn't remembered anything, but every time she thought about what had happened, her head felt like a water-filled balloon ready to burst.
"I think Su Man is no longer qualified to serve you. She's been so disloyal to you, while I am different. I hold a deep admiration and respect for you, and I genuinely like you. Please give me a chance to serve you closely."
A low laugh echoed, seemingly tinged with other emotions. The handsome young man leaned against the wall, his sharp, elongated eyes glinting with a coldness that made people almost afraid to meet his gaze. He lazily regarded Ning Yi.
Ning Yi's heart raced as the hands that had been on her shoulder were withdrawn, and without Zhong Jin's command, no one dared to drag her away.
The young man, leaning against the wall, spoke in a cool tone, "Come here."
The surroundings were so quiet that one could hear a pin drop.
Su Man was considering whether to cover her eyes or return to bed when Ning Yi stood up. She was still without clothes on her upper body, but her expression remained calm. Instead of looking at Zhong Jin, she locked eyes with Su Man.
Ning Yi noticed her.
That cold face revealed a provocative smile.
Ning Yi was quite pleased.
But what was she so pleased about?
Su Man felt somewhat confused. Was successfully flirting with Zhong Jin something to be proud of?
While Su Man was still trying to comprehend, Ning Yi averted her gaze and stepped towards Zhong Jin. However, she had just taken a step forward when a sharp bolt of lightning suddenly flashed from the shadows, like a fierce leopard from the jungle, striking Ning Yi off guard and hitting her hard.
Even though Ning Yi quickly tried to retreat, the sharp lightning still injured her.
Before Ning Yi could react, a piercing pain shot through her limbs—an unbearable pain that was soul-crushing.
Accompanied by Ning Yi's cry of agony was a loud "thud."
Su Man turned her head to look at the sound, and upon realizing what it was, her body trembled in fright, and she quickly covered her eyes with her small hands.
That was Ning Yi's fingertip.
It was gruesomely severed by the lightning and bloody, falling onto the ground, merging with the bright red carpet in the corridor as Ning Yi's heart-wrenching screams filled the air.
"You say you admire me, but you clearly don't know me well," the young man continued to lean against the wall, still relaxed, his eyes void of any emotion as if the person who had severed Ning Yi's fingertip wasn't him.
In fact, he had no desire for that fingertip.
What he wanted was Ning Yi's life.
"What I detest the most is not being threatened by others," the young man slowly walked towards Ning Yi, his voice soft yet magnetic, comparable to high-quality red wine secretly brewed by a medieval noble for years, luring one into a trance, yet each word he spoke chilled the bones.
"What I detest the most is others bullying my Su Man, and yet you have bullied her twice."
Once by shutting the car door, and once by slandering and provoking her in front of him.
What qualifications did Ning Yi have to think she could leave safely?
