Kouhei couldn't help but yawn as Kyouka droned on about some topic at the front of the class. His lack of subtlety didn't go unnoticed—Kyouka's sharp glare cut through him like a blade. He flinched, trying to stifle another yawn.
As always, the class felt like a monotonous grind. Most of the students looked half-asleep, fighting off their boredom. Hina wasn't sitting beside Kouhei today, her absence a reminder of the current mission. She and the others were off searching for the fallen angel. They'd even gotten official approval from the school to skip class for this, given that the school staff were demons themselves.
Morning classes dragged to an end. For now, Nagisa and Hina, along with another first-year, were tasked with keeping an eye on Kouhei.
During lunch, Kouhei sat with Nagisa and Hina, casually eating together when a first-year student suddenly approached their table.
"Hello, Okumura-senpai, Kiyohara-senpai, and Saonji-senpai~!"
