While Nagisa battled Takahashi, Kouhei focused on rescuing those still trapped in the classrooms. Most students had already evacuated, but a few remained scattered in the building. He worked methodically, helping them escape one by one and directing them to the soccer field, the safest open space nearby.
His final stop was the library. He burst through the door with a loud bang, his voice echoing as he shouted,
"Is anyone here!?"
The silence didn't last long. He quickly spotted several people hiding under the tables. They must have thought it was an earthquake, judging by their positions.
"It's not safe to stay in this building!" Kouhei called out firmly. "We need to move to the soccer field—it's an open space and much safer!"
The group exchanged hesitant glances before crawling out from under the tables, finally heeding his words.
"Okumura-kun," a soft voice called out as he turned to leave.
