He watched his brother on the private plane to Merak, with Luc gloating over his triumph to Irina and everyone who would listen.
If only Luc knew who was truly inside the section at the back of the plane, under guard and in disguise as his criminal brother. If only he knew who was beside "Dimitri" posing as Princess Ariana, supposedly unwell.
Irina mused nonchalantly, "It's a shame that the human princess is sick, We both would appreciate a little taste of her blood."
Ariana coughed delicately. "Yes, well, I'm told she developed a stomach bug. She was throwing up in the back of the plane. They had to give her something to put her to sleep."
