After 10 days, I am heading to the academy in the Central Continent, and this academy marks the start of a new arc. But before that, I'm diving into the Tower of Elements arc.
I was lucky that I didn't enter the tower right away because the description of the tower was altered by the Author. After I reached Othyr, I received a letter from him stating that the missions I needed to complete were comparable to those of an Aureth - Middle. He mentioned I was fortunate, which is why I feel a bit relieved, even though this "what-if" situation caused me to delay entering the tower.
[Do you wish to enter the tower, host?]
"Yes."
As soon as I said that, I vanished from my house garden, which had always felt more like a forest due to the towering trees surrounding me.
I wore a striking combat suit that is split down the middle: one side is sleek black, while the other is a crisp white. The top is form-fitting, designed for maximum mobility during combat. The black side features subtle, angular patterns that add a hint of complexity, while the white side has a clean, smooth finish, creating a sharp contrast.
My trousers are entirely black, tapering down to my ankles for a streamlined appearance, allowing for easy movement and practicality—perfect for agile combat. Completing the outfit are bold red boots, which stand out against the black and white suit, adding a pop of color and emphasizing my dynamic presence.
I couldn't shake the feeling that this combat suit was linked to a precious memory, even though I couldn't recall any specifics—just this one fleeting thought. Nonetheless, I found myself in a room filled with an endless white void, where an instruction manual materialized.
[Instructions:
1. You can only exit the Tower after completing one floor, which involves one mission.
2. The time difference is 1:24 (hours).
3. You will earn points by defeating hollows or completing missions.
4. After every floor, you can use the points shop to buy weapons with the points you've earned.
5. You can be revived endlessly even if you die here. Except If you die here by any soul attack even the tower can't revive you and you will be trapped in the tower for eternity. So be careful.]
These rules were straightforward, and the time difference meant I could take my time completing a floor. Now, let's move on to the first floor.
[First Floor - The Darkness]
Quest: Eliminate all of the hollows on the floor.
Requirements: (0/1000)
Time Limit: None
Rewards: (???); points - depends on performance.
Description: Be careful; don't underestimate the hollows that lurk in the darkness and they can attack you from anywhere from the darkness.
Got it; the first floor revolves around the darkness element, and the monsters can hide in the shadows. However, they're nothing compared to my space element, which allows me to find anyone within my realm. That was my original plan until this message popped up.
[Host, do you want to open the letter sent by the Author?]
I knew my plan was ruined the moment I received a message from the Author, but I had no choice but to open it.
[Hello,
This is your favorite person, the Author! Today, I have some good news for you: since you've entered the Tower for the first time, you are now banned from using the space element for this floor. I'll enjoy the show! Love you, bye!]
I knew it; I just knew my plans would get disrupted by him. I took a deep breath, reminding myself that getting angry would only give him more satisfaction. Once I calmed down, I began to rethink my strategy for the first floor. Even without the space element, I could still utilize other elements, and the thing is, I knew someday it would be like this, and because of that, I had prepared a set of swordsmanship techniques specifically for the other three elements I possess.
The name of the swordsmanship is Elemental Sword Art. I chose this name because I plan to fuse all the other elements I acquire into it, along with the Super Chaos Form.
I clicked the button 'enter' on the screen and entered the floor. To my shock I could only see black color all around and it was pitch black.
Now, I hate the author more than ever he made me lose the space element and the first floor is about dark elements and the floor is pitch dark, my whole life has become darker. I got another message from the system and this made me so angry that if I find that author in the future I am gonna kink his ass into meat paste.
The message was:
[Sorry, I got some malfunction on my side so the message you got is only half. The thing is I am blocking all your skills with elements for the entire tower. It means you can't use any of the skills and elements you have in the tower. Even outside until you reach the end of this tower.]
Oh, my fucking god bro, hell nah. This author is tiring me out and I can hear his laughing in my ears now. Now this is getting harder but I just need to use physical strength to fight the enemy. I don't know why but I feel that I am gonna get a lot of benefits from this but this is just a feeling.
Wait a minute if I kill all the Hollows in this place with the element suppression then I am gonna get a lot of pints and good rewards. OK, now let's start to experience fighting as I don't have any experience in fighting.
Just as I said something suddenly wrong with me and I felt my head falling down to the ground, at that time I knew I am gonna live in hell for quite some time.
