"I can't believe it, it was so obvious, how did I never notice?" Elita said, her mind in a whirlwind of indescribable emotions at the truth being thrown at her. "How can you be so calm knowing this?"
"I'm still learning how to deal with this information, just like you." Orion blurted out, a little embarrassed.
Elita looked at the veteran librarian who had accompanied Orion, or rather Alpha Trion, one of the legendary Thirteen Primes. It hadn't been long since she'd discovered the grumpy old man's true identity, which had been the biggest twist of her life, and now she was leading him through the same passage she'd shown Orion to illegally enter the Allspark Temple.
"Mr. Alpha Trion, how is it that no one suspected your true identity? You literally kept your first name." Elita was completely curious and couldn't help but wonder if the old Prime's disguise had some mystical ability or technology that kept him from being identified for so long. Because she couldn't believe that she herself had never noticed such an obvious fact about the Prime's identity.
"Some were able to decipher my identity, few had the foresight to do it themselves." Alpha Trion explained without much emotion. He was still trying to process the information that Elita, in some way not even Primus himself must understand, had developed the incredible ability to enter the Temple of the Allspark as if it were the most casual thing in the world. "People only want to see what they want to see, so I kept my true appearance hidden, and let's face it, no one would imagine a Prime working as a librarian, which is why my disguise worked for so long."
"I still feel like an idiot for not noticing something so obvious." Elita lowered her head, as if an imaginary cloud of shame covered her.
"Don't feel bad, Elita, I'm the one who should be more perplexed. I've lived under his tutelage for so many years." Orion tried to improve Elita's mood.
"The fact that you haven't realized this is something that is expected of you."
"Hey!!!"
Elita smiled discreetly at Orion's indignant reaction, but she was still perplexed as to the true identity of her romantic interest's father figure.
She glanced over her shoulder and saw the true form of Alpha Trion's armor, which was practically identical to the depictions in the files she had read in the past, the image of a warrior of legendary status.
They finally approached the Energon rocks, with a passageway large enough for only Elita and Orion to pass through, so the two of them looked at Alpha Trion, who obviously couldn't pass through.
"Unless you lose a few tons, you won't be able to reach the Allspark." Elita put her hands on her hips and looked at the legendary Prime, somewhat expecting that there might be a trick to solve the problem.
"That's not a problem for me." Alpha Trion stretched out his right arm and opened his palm. He began to channel the power within his Spark and began to move the stones in front of him with the power of his mind, much to the shock of Orion and Elita.
Elita's eyes widened for the second time that day in sheer amazement as she saw the stones move in a supernatural way, as if by magic. "How?!"
"All Primes have abilities that can be described as supernatural. Any Cybertronian who has had at least one direct connection to the power of the Allspark can receive an ability outside the normal parameters."
"By Allspark... this is incredible! If I had that power, I could clean up my room without lifting a finger." Elita exclaimed as she watched Alpha Trion rearrange the rocks on the floor, opening a passageway large enough for him.
"Do not be surprised, I am the weakest of my brothers, each of them had unique abilities that cannot be easily replicated by other Primes."
Orion watched as Alpha Trion moved carelessly along the new path, which made him wary as he remembered the hive of Insecticons that lived beneath the Temple of the Allspark. "Wait! You must be careful, there is a hive of Insecticons ahead."
"Insecticons?" Alpha Trion tensed slightly, knowing full well how dangerous this race can be when they are in large numbers. "I don't know why a hive of Insecticons is so close to the surface, but I'll be careful."
Alpha Trion was the first to enter the Energon-covered cavern, looking carefully at the beauty of the place, searching for any sign of eggs or Insecticons in the place, and seeing nothing unusual.
Still, he did not let his guard down, for he was the oldest of the group, and it was the duty of the elders to protect the younger ones.
"There are no Insecticons, this seems to be an Energon mine like all the others." Alpha Trion whispered, loud enough to be heard.
Elita quickly took the lead, unable to believe the words of the legendary Prime beside her. She looked in all directions, seeing nothing but Energon in its purest form, and her eyes were filled with bewilderment.
"They're gone."
"Judging by your surprise, this place was probably filled with dozens or hundreds of Insecticons." Alpha Trion reasoned, noticing Elita's surprised expression.
Orion took a few steps to make sure they were the only ones there, and it wasn't long before he noticed a hole covered in footprints and claws under a massive boulder. He approached and ran his fingers over the marks, taking a few seconds to conclude that the Insecticons had left a few days ago. "They left not long ago."
Alpha Trion approached and saw the same marks that Orion was studying, remembering the habits and tactics of this species when a hive has no queen to control it. "An Insecticon queen must have been created to keep them under control." He looked up from the cave, able to feel the presence of the Allspark, hidden thanks to the artifact that protected him like an armor and an insulator of his power to the world. An ability that only beings with a greater connection to the Allspark could possess.
"Mr. Alpha, we are close." Orion said, making his teacher regain his composure.
"I know, and I can't deny that I'm a little worried." Alpha Trion whispered, not hiding the fact that he was conflicted, feeling unworthy to see his creator after so long.
"Don't be afraid, he's gentle." Elita tried to ease the tense atmosphere Alpha Trion was radiating.
"Gentle? What are you talking about?"
"She's talking about the Allspark." Orion explained, and it wasn't long before Alpha Trion was surprised, but not in a good way.
"Are you referring to the Allspark as if it were a simple pet?" Alpha Trion asked, not even believing his own words.
"It's a friend, or a good listener. He always listens to me when I talk to him." Elita said with a smile.
"Not that he has much choice." Orion whispered.
"What are you implying?" Elita glared at Orion with a look that was scarier than a thousand spears pointed at him.
