Third person's POV
Aiden stood rigid with anger as he faced Derek, his hands clenched into tight fists.
"How did you get out of that cell so quickly after what you did?" Aiden snapped at him, rage threading through his voice.
At his question, Derek let a dry laugh which seemed to cut through the growing darkness.
"Did you honestly think they would kill me just because I stabbed you?" Derek asked rhetorically. Then he shook his head, clearly amused.
"Such a foolish thought." He added.
Aiden's nostrils flared up in anger.
"That is not the question I asked you." Aiden retorted, taking a step forward as if he would go physical on him.
"Oh, I see you have really grown a stronger nerve during the few days I haven't been around." Derek pointed out with a degrading smirk.
Aiden gritted his teeth furiously.
