Aiden's POV
The following morning was a bit chilly and the crisp morning air nipped at my skin as I made my way to the training grounds.
The sun had barely peeked over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange. I couldn't sleep much last night, my mind racing with thoughts of the oath-swearing ceremony and the unexpected encounter that had followed.
As I approached the training area, I saw a group of warriors already hard at work. Their movements were fluid, precise, and powerful. I couldn't help but admire their strength and skill, something I didn't think I had.
Today was the day the captives would choose their departments, and I knew without a doubt that I wanted to join the warrior department. Yet, as I stood there watching them, a seed of doubt began to grow in my mind.
"Can I ever measure up to these formidable fighters?" I wondered. I had never fought before in my life. I wasn't allowed to trained as an Omega.
