Third person's POV
"The oak tree has been burnt down overnight? How?" Aiden blurted out in utter disbelief, his eyes glued at the sight before him.
The massive oak tree which had been burnt down now had thick smoke curling up toward the morning sky.
"By the Moon Goddess, what is this ..." Chloe whispered, her voice filled with emotion, her hands tightly clenched with barely contained fury.
"The spy is now openly moving against me in my own pack." She muttered flatly, but her words carried a dangerous edge that made even Aiden's wolf stir uneasily.
Aiden's keen eyes scanned the area, his warrior instincts taking over, instantly.
"The perpetrator couldn't have gotten far seeing how the smoke is still thick..." Aiden muttered, already moving in a wide circle around the burning tree. His nostrils flared as he searched for any unfamiliar scents, but the thick smoke overwhelmed everything else.
