[3RD POV INITIALIZE]
From the top floor of the cathedral, there existed a grand luxurious chamber, privately reserved for the high saintess and a VIP guest. It boasted a single-tint black window in Roman style, providing a striking contrast to the opulence within.
Currently, only two individuals occupy this luxurious room.
Two four-wheeled, small domestic robots, resembling trash cans, diligently roamed around, meticulously cleaning the blue carpet.
Suspended from the ceiling were large, cylindrical fixtures that illuminated the chamber.
Near the expansive framed window, which offered a breathtaking view of the eastern orphanage dorms, a teenage boy with radiant white skin stood, dressed in a black sweater and long gray pants. His straight blonde hair fell over his golden eyebrows, and his crimson eyes held an emotionless gaze. Speaking in a neutral tone, he remarked, "That fool is more intelligent than I thought."
As the robot gracefully moved along the blue carpet, a soothing sound emanated from its mechanisms, creating a calming ambiance. The sound was a gentle, rhythmic "WUFTTTTTTT," akin to a soft breeze.
A distinctively elegant female voice responded to him. "His growth is remarkable. It is only a matter of time before he realizes his true identity. However, if Einsamer fails, then you, Eric, are our last hope."
The voice belonged to a beautiful woman with long black hair and blue eyes. She sat in a meticulously carved wooden chair before a large square table, adorned with a holographic display showing graphs and recent news events, including an image of the Eternia Tower explosion in TWOD.
In a slightly angered tone, the blonde-haired boy retorted, "I am not that fool. He merely possesses the essence of my father and, inexplicably, the original power I struggled so hard to attain in my previous life. For now, I shall remain hidden and observe."
Eric, the blonde-haired boy, eventually tore his gaze away from the window and turned to face the beautiful lady seated at the table. He approached the table and, with a smile, inquired with a cold voice, "So, why have you summoned me here?"
The lady smiled at him and with a swipe of her finger, disactivated the holographic display before turning to face Eric. However, burned into his mind was the image of a towering inferno in the display, devouring the middle section of the colossal tower structure.
"The explosion occurred at the World of Dawn, resulting in the destruction of a significant portion of the tower. Thousands of rankers caught in the blast are now unconscious and unable to awaken," the Saintess explained.
As he absorbed the footage of the explosion, a flicker of doubt crept into Eric's mind, questioning his ability to confront such perilous circumstances.
"The regressors from the abandoned multiverse must be involved in this. The World of Dawn lies beyond the reach of the Humanity Council and the Celestials' control," he mused, his voice tinged with a sense of anticipation rather than surprise.
The Saintess's sweet and gentle smile abruptly transformed into a grave expression upon hearing the mention of regressors.
"The regressors pose a far greater threat than the Divine Judgment. We have prepared humanity for the Divine Judgment, but we have not prepared for the regressors. Moreover, half of the androids refuse to cooperate with the Church of the Divine Light, and the 10 high even try to control this timeline." she said, clenching her hands together and placing them firmly on the table. Her tone carried genuine concern.
The blonde-haired boy, Eric, turned his back on her and began to walk toward the exit of the chamber, which featured two wooden doors. He positioned himself in front of the doors and then raised his voice.
"In this timeline, I will ensure humanity's salvation, even if it means vanquishing all celestial beings and regressors," Eric declared, glancing at the saintess from the corner of his eye.
"No, that's not what I..." The saintess couldn't finish her sentence before Eric departed, swiftly closing the door behind him.
As the resounding crack echoed through the chamber, the saintess sighed and closed her eyes, murmuring to herself.
"That's not what I meant. I simply don't want you to succumb to corruption like your father did. I want you to lead a peaceful life, following the path of enlightenment instead..."
She then opened her eyes and gazed at the ceiling, where a depiction of a white hair woman holding a floating holy grail stood alongside a man with long blonde hair. Above the grail, a fiery blue phoenix soared towards the heavens.
"There are many prologues, but there can only be one ultimate epilogue," she whispered to herself with a heavy sight.
