The only problem now is whether the Greek gods on the other side will retaliate against Atreus.
It's not just Athena and the gods who support the Greeks. Achilles' mother, Thetis, is a classic overprotective mom. Back in the day, to save her son, she repeatedly burned Achilles, trying to rid him of his mortal flesh and then used divine powers to restore his body. When she couldn't make him a god, she dipped him in the River Styx.
Atreus's conclusion about all this? Make a run for it.
Continuing to look through the loot, Atreus noticed that Achilles had gifted him a bunch of skills.
Aside from combat-related abilities, the most notable were:
**[Host Acquires Constitution Skill Branch (Beginner Styx Body)]**: The host's passive strong skin is upgraded to **(Styx Skin)**, rated at Physical Resistance Lv60. The host's default armor value is 600 points, with a hardness equivalent to 60mm thick T-34 tank armor. When the host is focused, the armor value increases to 1,000 points.
**[Mythical Beast Riding]**: The host can ride or tame Greek mythical beasts, excluding dragons.
**[Unyielding]**: host inherits Achilles' powerful physique. Even if vital areas like the brain or heart are destroyed, host can continue fighting for a period using the power of the soul. If the host receives enough healing to repair the damage during this time, they will be revived. This skill has a cooldown of 365 natural days.
**[Achilles' Rage]**: Upon activating this skill, the host enters a **(Bravery)** state, greatly boosting endurance, strength, and agility while becoming immune to all mental attacks. However, the host will be locked in a death battle mode, unable to retreat until all visible enemies are defeated.
**[Low-Grade Divinity]**: Due to the host absorbing Achilles' divinity, all the host's attacks now include a small amount of true damage, which can only be negated by corresponding divine power.
A total of five skills—none of them are useless or weak.
The only small issue is with **[Styx Body]**, which requires a designated weak spot. If that area is hit, it receives five times the damage. Atreus thought it over and placed it on his...
Well, that's a secret.
In addition to the skills snatched by the **Godslayer System**, there was also a pile of visible treasures.
For example:
**[C-Class Artifact (Achilles' Cosmos)]**: A divine shield forged by Hephaestus, god of the forge, classified as a defensive barrier artifact. It projects the world as seen by Achilles, with an outer layer blessed by the sea goddess Thetis, causing ocean currents to flow around it. As the host is not Achilles himself, the artifact's power rating has been lowered.
**[D-Class Artifact (Achilles' Armor)]**: Another masterpiece from the forge god. The full set of armor weighs 188 kilograms. When worn, the host gains +68 Strength, +100 Endurance, and -80 Agility. Physical resistance is rated at Lv60. The armor can repair itself.
Atreus wasn't too thrilled about the agility penalty, but hey, it can be layered over his Kratos cosplay suit!
Truly awesome!
Lastly, there's Achilles' chariot:
**[A-Class Artifact (Tragedy of Troy)]**: With the death of the famous horse Pedasus, which the host killed, it has transformed into a heroic spirit warhorse. Along with the immortal steeds Xanthos and Balius, gifts from the sea god Poseidon, the chariot can tear through the battlefield at supersonic speed, delivering proportional bonus damage as its speed increases. It becomes a massive meat grinder on the Trojan battlefield.
At this point, Atreus was already thrilled.
He didn't expect that the best was yet to come—
An S-Class!?
Seeing this, Atreus was utterly confused. He'd never heard of any "Troy Twins." But after reading further, he got it.
This is insane!
**[S-Class Artifact Dual Blades (Troy Twins)]**: Because the host killed the great hero Achilles in direct combat, Achilles' remnant soul now resides in one of the blades, drawn to the host's charisma. Hector's soul, which remained in Achilles' divine sword, now inhabits the other blade. The host must discover the blades' properties and special abilities on their own.
Atreus was first stunned, then overjoyed.
He had always felt proud cosplaying as Kratos with a titanium replica of the **Blades of Chaos**, but as his strength grew, even the finest cold weapons forged by Tony Stark felt inadequate.
Now, using titanium blades as a base, infused with the souls of the two most renowned heroes of the Trojan War, these weapons had instantly upgraded to S-Class artifacts.
In his amazement, Atreus suddenly realized something. After Achilles' death in mythology, didn't he appear in his son's dream to declare he had ascended to godhood?
A true god's soul residing in a blade far surpassing Bronze Age craftsmanship—if that's not an artifact, then what is?
This was truly an incredible stroke of luck!
He was so excited that during the victory parade, when he noticed Penthesilea eyeing his **Achilles Sword**, he impulsively said, "What? Want it? Sure, take it."
The Amazon Queen's face lit up with joy—her lifelong enemy's sword was truly irresistible!
She almost accepted immediately, but then hesitated, "Isn't that improper? This is a real divine sword. You killed Achilles yourself; it belongs to you."
Atreus smiled as he handed her the D-Class divine sword, "It's yours now."
"How can I accept this!?" The queen was flustered.
Atreus patted strange twin blades at his waist and whispered in her ear, "My dual blades are now infused with the souls of Achilles and Hector. They're mid-tier artifacts now. This sword is all yours. Without you taking a hit and tricking Achilles into abandoning his sword to kill Paris, I couldn't have killed him."
The queen's cheeks instantly flushed red.
It was out of shame!
To put it bluntly, hadn't she seduced Achilles, causing him to lose his mind and go easy on her?
Back then, Achilles didn't want her to die right away, so he left the sword in her abdomen. If not for that, Atreus wouldn't have had the chance to succeed.
That was the truth, but she still felt a bit guilty about it.
Meanwhile, the enemy's sword was truly irresistible!
On one hand, Atreus had better artifacts, and on the other, she had indeed bled for this. Gritting her teeth, the queen nodded, "Alright! I'll accept this, but I will repay you."
In the span of just two or three kilometers, thanks to the enthusiastic cheers of the soldiers and citizens, it took Atreus almost an hour to reach the palace.
As expected, the Trojan royal family held a grand ceremony to welcome the hero's triumphant return. The palace, neglected for ten years, was now festively decorated. To hide the holes in some of the walls, servants had covered them with long, slightly yellowed fabrics.
The malnourished servants were scrambling around, while the heavily scarred royal guards of Troy stood tall, casting grateful looks at Atreus's chariot.
At the foot of the palace's long staircase, the king himself welcomed them, but Priam's smile was forced.
Who could blame him? His most outstanding son and his most... **"outstanding"** son had both perished within a week.
He wasn't exactly in a celebratory mood.
