Roman's eyes sparkled with joy as he walked into the conference room, where his colleagues and superiors were waiting for him. He had been expecting a meeting, but he had no idea what it was about.
"Roman, please take a seat," said Dr. Smith, the hospital's chief administrator.
Roman sat down, trying to compose himself. He had always been a dedicated and hardworking doctor, and he had a reputation for being one of the best in his field.
"Roman, we've been reviewing your performance over the past year, and we're pleased to inform you that you're being promoted to head of cardiology," Dr. Smith announced, a smile spreading across his face.
Roman's jaw dropped in shock. He had been hoping for a promotion, but he hadn't expected it to come so soon.
"Congratulations, Roman!" his colleagues exclaimed, as they shook his hand and patted him on the back.
Roman beamed with pride, feeling a sense of accomplishment and recognition. He knew that this promotion was a testament to his hard work and dedication to his patients.
As he walked out of the conference room, Roman couldn't wait to share the news with his friends and family. He pulled out his phone and dialed Leo's number, eager to tell him the good news.
"Hey, man! Guess what?" Roman exclaimed, as soon as Leo answered the phone.
"What's up?" Leo replied, curiosity etched in his voice.
"I just got promoted to head of cardiology!" Roman announced, barely containing his excitement.
"How come?" Leo asked with a smirk on his face.
"You should be happy man," Roman hissed. "Your friend just got promoted!"
"Well, congratulations to you. You've been useful lately so you could have been promoted" Leo replied and shrugged.
Roman grinned, feeling grateful for his friend's support. "Thanks but I shouldn't have called"
"Hmm", Leo laughed and hung up.
As Roman continued to bask in the glory of his promotion, he couldn't help but think about Abi, who had been a patient of his during her illness. Roman had been by her side throughout her treatment, and he had grown close to her and Leo.
He made a mental note to call Abi and share the news with her. He knew she would be thrilled for him.
But as he walked back to his office, Roman's mind began to wander to his girlfriend, Alice. She was a handful, always playful and mischievous, but he loved her anyway.
Alice was a bit crazy, always doing unexpected things and keeping Roman on his toes. But despite her quirks, Roman adored her and enjoyed her company.
He chuckled to himself as he thought about Alice's antics. She was always making him laugh, even on his most stressful days.
Roman's phone buzzed with a text from Alice. "Hey, babe! Congrats on the promotion! I'm so proud of you!"
Roman smiled, feeling happy that Alice was excited for him. "Thanks, babe! I couldn't have done it without you keeping me sane," he replied.
As he continued to exchange texts with Alice, Roman couldn't help but feel grateful for his life. He had a successful career, wonderful friends, and a loving girlfriend who kept him on his toes.
What more could a guy ask for?
As the day went on, Roman received countless congratulatory messages from his friends, family, and colleagues. He was overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and encouragement.
But amidst all the chaos, Roman's mind kept wandering back to Alice. He couldn't wait to see her and celebrate his promotion with her.
He decided to surprise her by taking her out to dinner at her favorite restaurant. He made a reservation and picked her up from her apartment, feeling like a kid on Christmas morning.
As they sat down at their table, Alice looked at him with sparkling eyes. "I'm so proud of you, Roman," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
Roman smiled, feeling his heart swell with love. "Thanks, babe. I couldn't have done it without you."
As they ordered their food and began to eat, Roman couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment. He had found success in his career, and he had found love with a woman who made him laugh and kept him on his toes.
What more could a guy ask for?
As they finished their dinner and prepared to leave, Alice turned to Roman with a mischievous grin. "I have a surprise for you," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Roman raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
Alice leaned in close, her voice barely above a whisper. "I have a special celebration planned for you. Follow me."
Roman's heart began to race with excitement as he followed Alice out of the restaurant. He had no idea what she had planned, but he knew it was going to be an unforgettable night.
It could be unforgettable in many ways. Roman prayed it would be so in a good light because he doesn't know what his psychotic girlfriend is up to that night. He hopes she doesn't do anything that all traumatize him.

Dominic's eyes sparkled with mischief as he watched Natalie walk up the path to his front door. He had deliberately left some important files at the office, knowing that she would have to come over to drop them off.
It was a clever ploy, and he was excited to see her.
As Natalie knocked on the door, Dominic's heart skipped a beat. He took a deep breath, composed himself, and opened the door with a charming smile.
"Hey, Natalie! Thanks for bringing those files over. I'm such a scatterbrain sometimes," Dominic said, taking the files from her hand.
Natalie rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "You're telling me. I swear, you'd forget your head if it wasn't attached," she teased.
Dominic chuckled and stepped aside, inviting Natalie into his home. As she walked in, he couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, and her bright eyes sparkled with amusement.
"Can I get you a drink? Coffee, tea, or something stronger?" Dominic asked, following Natalie into the living room.
Natalie hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Just water, please. I'm not really a big drinker like you"
"Oh wow" Dominic laughed and checked out out while he could.
He smiled and headed into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water from the fridge. As he walked back into the living room, he noticed Natalie looking around at his decor.
"Nice place you have here," Natalie said, taking the water from Dominic. "I love the artwork on the walls."
Dominic smiled, feeling a sense of pride. "Thanks. I've collected most of it over the years. I've got a bit of a passion for art. One of my friends paint too so I buy some from her"
Natalie's eyes lit up with interest. "Really? I've always loved art too. What kind of art do you like?"
As they sat down on the couch, Dominic launched into a passionate discussion about art, sharing his favorite artists and styles with Natalie. She listened intently, asking thoughtful questions and sharing her own opinions.
As they talked, Dominic found himself feeling more and more at ease with Natalie. He had always thought of her as a colleague, but now he was starting to see her in a different light.
As the conversation flowed easily, Dominic realized that he was having the time of his life. He couldn't believe how much he was enjoying Natalie's company.
As the evening wore on, Dominic suggested they order some pizza and watch a movie together. Natalie agreed, and they spent the rest of the night laughing and joking together.
As the night drew to a close, Dominic walked Natalie to the door, feeling a sense of disappointment that the evening was over.
"Thanks for coming over, Natalie," Dominic said, looking down at her with a smile. "I had an amazing time tonight."
Natalie smiled back up at him, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I had a great time too, Dominic. Maybe we can do it again sometime?"
Dominic's heart skipped a beat as he realized that Natalie was flirting with him. He felt a surge of excitement and anticipation.
"I'd like that," Dominic said, his voice low and husky.
As Natalie turned to leave, Dominic caught her arm, pulling her back towards him. They stood there for a moment, looking into each other's eyes.
Then, without saying a word, Dominic leaned in and kissed Natalie. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down Natalie's spine.
As they pulled back, Natalie smiled up at Dominic, her eyes shining with happiness.
"I've been wanting to do that all night," Dominic said, his voice filled with emotion.
Natalie's smile grew wider. "I've been wanting you to do that all night," she replied.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Dominic knew that he couldn't get enough of her. He doesn't want her to leave yet. He doesn't want her to go home.
As they kissed again, Dominic felt his heart soar with happiness. He knew that he had found someone special, someone who made him feel alive.
And as they stood there, lost in each other's eyes, Dominic knew that this was just the beginning of a beautiful romance.

Darcy sat on his couch, phone in hand, as he waited for Stephanie to answer his FaceTime call. Sapphire had spent the night at Stephanie's house, and Darcy was eager to check in and see how his daughter was doing.
As Stephanie's face appeared on the screen, Darcy smiled. "Hi, Ms. Stephanie. Thanks for taking Sapphire in last night. I appreciate it."
Stephanie smiled back, her eyes warm and friendly. "You're welcome, Mr. Darcy. Sapphire's a sweetheart. We had a great time together. We watched a movie, had some popcorn, and she even helped me bake some cookies."
Darcy's heart swelled with pride. He had been working hard to be a better father, and it meant the world to him that Stephanie was noticing.
"That sounds like so much fun," Darcy said, feeling a pang of regret that he had missed out on the fun. "I'm glad she's having a good time. How was her behavior?"
Stephanie chuckled. "She was perfect, as always. We had a movie night, and she fell asleep on the couch. I had to carry her to bed. She's such a sweet girl, Mr. Darcy. You're doing a great job with her."
Darcy laughed, feeling a sense of relief that Sapphire had behaved herself. "Thanks, Ms. Stephanie. That means a lot coming from you. I've been trying to spend more quality time with her and be more involved in her life."
Stephanie's expression turned serious. "Mr. Darcy, can I talk to you about something?"
Darcy's instincts kicked in, and he felt a twinge of anxiety. "What's up?" he asked, trying to sound casual.
Stephanie took a deep breath. "I just wanted to say that I've noticed a real change in your involvement in Sapphire's life lately. You're more attentive, more supportive... it's making a huge difference. She's happier, more confident... she's thriving."
Darcy felt a lump form in his throat. He had been working so hard to be a better father, and it meant everything to him that Stephanie was acknowledging his efforts.
"Thank you, Ms. Stephanie," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "That means a lot coming from you. I've been trying to do better, to be more involved in Sapphire's life. It's not always easy, but it's worth it to see her happy."
Stephanie smiled. "You're doing a great job, Mr. Darcy. Sapphire's lucky to have you as her father. And please, call me Stephanie. We don't have to be so formal all the time."
Darcy smiled back, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Stephanie. "Thanks, Stephanie. That means a lot coming from you. And please, call me Darcy. I'd like that."
Stephanie's face lit up with a warm smile. "I'd like that, Darcy. It's nice to finally be able to talk to you on a more personal level."
"That's…great", Darcy stammered and bit his lips hard.
He was glad that his daughter's teacher was kind, caring, and genuinely invested in Sapphire's well-being. And as they talked, Darcy found himself opening up to her in ways he never thought possible.
"I have to say, I'm really impressed with the way you've taken Sapphire under your wing," Darcy said, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Stephanie. "You've been an amazing influence on her, and I appreciate everything you've done for her."
Stephanie's face flushed with pleasure. "Thank you, Darcy. That means a lot coming from you. I have to say, I've really enjoyed getting to know Sapphire better. She's a wonderful girl, and I'm so glad I get to be a part of her life."
As the conversation came to a close, Darcy smiled at Stephanie, feeling a sense of appreciation and respect towards her. "Thanks again for taking care of Sapphire, Stephanie. I owe you one."
Stephanie smiled back. "You don't owe me anything, Darcy. I'm just happy to help. And please, don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything. I'm always here to help."
Darcy ended the call, feeling a sense of gratitude and respect towards Stephanie. He knew he still had a long way to go as a father, but with Stephanie's help and support, he felt confident that he could overcome any challenge that came his way.
As he sat back on the couch, Darcy couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and optimism. He was becoming the father he always wanted to be, and it felt amazing.

Abi was a little bit troubled when she heard that her husband's parents would be coming over. Leo's brother had traveled out of the country for some business or vacation.
As soon as they arrived, Abi could sense a change in her mother-in-law's demeanor. She seemed more subdued, more reflective, and Abi wondered what had brought about this change.
Though Leo had told her that her mother was very sorry for hurting her in the past and always belittling her, Abi wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth.
"Abi, dear, I'm so sorry for my past behavior," her mother-in-law said, her voice filled with emotion. "I was wrong to interfere in your marriage, wrong to doubt your abilities as a partner for Leo. Can you ever forgive me?"
Abi was taken aback by the apology, but she was touched by her sincerity. "Of course, I forgive you," Abi said, smiling. "I appreciate your honesty, and I'm glad we can move forward from here."
She knew it took a lot of courage for soemone like Pen to apologize. She was so proud so she actually apologized because she wanted to mend the relationship.
Her mother-in-law's face lit up with relief, and she hugged Abi tightly. "Thank you, dear. I promise to be a better mother-in-law from now on. I want us to have a good relationship, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. I'm also sorry for the loss of your mom"
Abi hugged her back, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her. "It's fine, mother. I want that us to have a healthy relationship too," Abi said. "I'm glad we can start fresh and work on building a stronger relationship."
However, as her mother-in-law continued to apologize and make amends, Abi started to feel a bit spoilt. Her mother-in-law was showering her with gifts, taking her on shopping sprees, and treating her to luxurious spa days.
"Thank you so much for everything," Abi said, feeling a sense of guilt. "You're being too generous, and I don't want to take advantage of your kindness."
Her mother-in-law smiled and waved her hand dismissively. "Nonsense, dear. You deserve to be spoilt, and I'm happy to do it. You're an amazing person, and I'm so grateful to have you as a part of our family."
Abi blushed, feeling a sense of appreciation towards her mother-in-law. "Thank you," Abi said. "That means a lot coming from you. But I need to get back to work, I need to find my purpose again."
Her mother-in-law looked at her with surprise, but then she nodded in understanding. "You're right, dear. I got a bit carried away. Let's find you a new project, something that will challenge you and make you happy. What are your passions, what do you enjoy doing?"
Abi thought for a moment before responding. "I've always loved art, I've always loved creating things. I used to paint and draw when I was younger, but I haven't had the time for it lately. I cook a lot too"
Her mother-in-law's face lit up with excitement. "That's wonderful! Let's get you set up with a studio, and you can start creating again. I'll support you every step of the way, and I'll be here to encourage you. Leave the cooking for me today!"
Abi smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her mother-in-law. "Thank you," Abi said. "That means a lot to me. I'm excited to start creating again, and I'm grateful for your support."
As they hugged, Abi knew that she had found a true ally in her mother-in-law. Their relationship was no longer strained, but strong and supportive.
And as they moved forward, Abi knew that she would always cherish the bond she had formed with her mother-in-law. It was a bond built on forgiveness, understanding, and love.
She has heard of evil mothers-in-law and was glad to know that hers turned good at the end of the day.
