RAIN
"I am going insane."
I flop on the floor in the bathroom, eyes closing shut as I try to block the crying in the other room. "I am insane already," I moan.
"Baby, can we take them to my mom's? She loves them and always asks us to let her have them over all the time." Liam groans next to me as he lies next to me.
We are escaping for a few minutes, the girls screeching and tantrums driving us to the edge. It was peaceful and quiet at first. The first month after returning home from the hospital, things went so smoothly that we felt like we were acing with the whole parenting.
I felt like this was a piece of cake, Liam sleeping next to them all the time, cuddling with me even as I breastfed them, and even taking lots of pictures and videos. We should have slept more then when all they did was sleep.
If only we knew.
That was last month, the final last bit of our peaceful life.
