LIAM
Rain is yanked from my hands and I am thrown off the dream state, back to my reality.
My eyes fly open when I hear Rain's cry right next to me. Dr. Melanie is in the room and she is busy giving orders to the other three doctors with her but I still catch some words.
Rain is giving birth. It's not time yet, but they have to come out, as the Cubs have decided.
It's a whirlwind as everyone rushes around us. I look at Rain, whose eyes are still closed, as he whimpers, and bows pinched in as if he is feeling pain.
"Is he … is he feeling pain? Did it not work?"
"You did well, you both were under for two weeks but that might have caused the birth time to progress even faster."
I don't understand what she is saying. "But is he in pain?"
