RAIN
I want her to make me cookies and play with me. Hold me and brush my hair like she used to. So how can I hate her? How can I ever say or pretend otherwise?
She sighs, looking away as she wipes a tear away. "I am not here to play around. I am here to ask you for a favor."
"You aren't going to tell me why you left me?" I hate how pathetic I am. How weak and soft I sound. Begging even.
"I figured you wouldn't want anything to do with me. It didn't matter what I told you, I know you won't want to be with me, not that I could have the say in having you back in my life either."
"Why?"
Lana looks tormented. "I had to give you up or they would kill you. Your father was disappointed when you tested and turned out to be an omega. His only heir, being an omega was a bruise on his ego. Our pack has no place for omegas."
The knife is deep in my chest and she is twisting with each word.
"I am sorry I was lacking."
