KINGSLEY
Rain walks past me, barely acknowledging me.
"I am here, safe and sound locked in the tower as you like."
He sounds mad, but he is wearing that fake smile he parades around in.
"Why are you mad?"
"I should ask you since you are the one who is. Did I miss the curfew?"
He is being bratty. Normally, I would find it amusing but today, I am a little concerned. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Rain ..."
"I have done the shopping like you wanted me to. Can I go to shower and rest now?"
"Why are you acting this way?"
"I am not acting, I am merely following your orders. I am obeying your orders."
"Cut it out," I growl as I hold his arm not letting go no matter how hard he tries to shake me off.
"What do you want?" he asks me, nose flaring.
"Tell me what I did wrong."
"Rain," I press him closer to me but he shrugs me off, wanting to keep distance between us.
