LIAM
I hate leaving Rain's side even for a second but he has to be operated on, just a little procedure to relieve the pressure on his spine before we get on the restorative dialysis.
I try to calm my racing heart by walking in the small garden, unable to sit still. My chest hurts a little too but the doctor told me that all the poison is gone, it should affect rain.
"Planning on leaving?"
A cold harsh voice snaps me out of my misery and I look behind.
"Day," I sigh. "You're here."
He crosses his arms looking at me coldly. "Of course, I am here. I never left and I don't plan on leaving."
"Thank you for looking out for rain, I know that I had asked Travis-"
"I don't need you asking my mate for me to look after my best friend. I could have done it and I did it. So," he raises his eyebrows, lips pursed in a straight line. "Are you plotting how you will leave and protect him some more from afar?"
