Rain? What is he doing here? Why is he talking like that? No, it's not. I blink again and I see that it's my father looking down at me.

"Before everything got messed up, it was just me and Lexie. We were happy and in love. She was my mate and I loved her so much. But then, something happened," he frowns and shakes his head. "She had to meet her stupid true mate and ruin everything.
"Of course, I wasn't so mad about it, because she would have just rejected him and I was already an alpha in the pack I had coveted for years. I had it and there was nothing that was going to take that away from me."
