It was easy to find a boat, they only had to look along the shore, but it was hard finding one that was seaworthy. Even after the bombs had dropped, people had still continued to go out to sea. It was only when the population was relocated on mass that the majority of fisherfolk gave up their vocation. Now there were only a few people who stayed by the shore, fishing hand to mouth with only themselves to feed.
Moira had given them supplies and Dr Chong guessed Aron was planning on using some to barter up a boat.
Aron parked them some distance away from the main settlement behind an abandoned restaurant. He'd eaten there before, but that had been years ago.
"Captain," Dr Chong said quietly as Aron checked what supplies they had in the back. "Why don't you let me carry the oscillator. I promise I won't run away."
"Oh?" Aron put a bag of rice, beans, salt, and a few other potentially valuable things into a large bag and slung it over his shoulder.
