Aron caught up to Dr Chong by noon but he kept his distance. Best to let the guy think his plan was still working.
It surprised Aron how quickly Dr Chong was moving. He'd described the general layout of the land to the doctor but it had been brief and hadn't mentioned how to get to the proposed experiment site, yet here the doctor was making a perfect beeline for it.
Aron watched quietly as Dr Chong used a bottle to collect water from the river. Aron knew he'd underestimated the man and didn't plan to do it again.
