"Hey."
Just hearing that single word from Aron put my mind at ease or at least calmed me somewhat.
"Hey," I replied.
"Something wrong?" Aron asked.
As much as I wanted to throw my arms around him and forget about everything else, I couldn't. It was only the early evening and he'd only just gotten off work and was still miles away from me.
"Nothing's…" I began to reply, then decided to change my mind. "I'll tell you once you get here." Moira hadn't needed to, but she'd still reminded me that everything she'd told me that afternoon was strictly confidential. That wasn't going to stop me from telling Aron, but I thought it best to tell him in person. I had no idea how much information could be intercepted these days, but my guess was a lot.
"...Alright. I should be there in an hour," said Aron.
"Take your time," I said. The guy had enough responsibility on his plate without me piling my neediness onto him too. "How was work today?"
