Yan lived in a small village with her siblings shen,Shun, shu. Shen is the first born, Shun is the second born, shu is the third born while Yan is the last born. Yan was an attractive, hardworking girl, but her siblings are lazy and annoying. Yan study hard to make a good name for her family, since their father died and mother abandoned them and married another man, since then things has been though for them they only have the last gold their father secretly gave shen to keep incase things goes bad for them all the money their father has the mother took everything and left to her new husband.
So one day Shun said shen we still have the gold father left for us,shen said yes. Shun said so let go to vichanese. Shen looked at Shun with a mix of surprise and hesitation. "Vichanese? That's a far journey, and the road is dangerous," Shen replied. "Do you really think we should risk it?"Shun stood up, frustration clear on his face. "Shen, we're starving! Yan is the only one working hard for us, and it's not enough. We need to do something. If we go to Vichanese and sell the gold, we can start a new life."But what if we could find a better life?" Shun insisted, his eyes glimmering with excitement. "With the gold, we could start fresh. We could find jobs or even start a business!"Shu, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke. "Shun is right. We've been holding onto that gold for too long. It's time we use it for something."Yan looked up, intrigued but cautious. "But what about our home? What if something happens while we're gone? Who will take care of the land and our supplies?" Shen sighed, feeling the weight of responsibility. As the eldest, he felt obligated to protect his siblings and their home. "We need to think this through. The gold is precious, and if we waste it, we might not have anything left."Yan said That gold is our last hope, but it's not a solution. What happens when the money runs out? We need a long-term plan, not a quick fix."Shen sighed. "Yan, I know you're right, but what else can we do? The gold is our only asset. Maybe if we sell it in Vichanese, we can invest in something that will sustain us."Yan thought for a moment. "If we're going to Vichanese, we need to be smart about it. Instead of selling the gold outright, we should use it to start a small business, something that will bring in steady income."After a long discussion, Shen finally relented. "Alright, we'll go. But we must promise to look out for each other and return if it's too dangerous." The next morning, they set off, hope mingling with anxiety. As they walked, Yan felt a mix of excitement and fear. Would they find a better life, or would they face new challenges? Yan smiled. "Vichanese is known for its trade. We can buy supplies there and bring them back to sell in the village. We could start a market stall, selling goods that people need but can't find easily here
The siblings agreed, and the next morning, they packed their belongings and began the long journey to Vichanese, holding onto the hope that their father's gold would help them build a better future. The journey to Vichanese was long and exhausting. The siblings walked for days, carrying only the few provisions they had managed to gather. Along the way, they faced harsh weather, steep hills, and treacherous roads. But Yan, always the determined one, kept them moving forward.
After a week of traveling, they finally arrived in Vichanese. The city was bustling with merchants, travelers, and artisans. It was much larger than their small village, with vibrant markets and streets lined with shops selling goods from all over the region.
Shen took the gold out from his pouch as they entered the market. "We need to be careful with this," he said. "We can't let anyone know we're carrying something so valuable."
Yan nodded, scanning the market for trustworthy faces. "We should split up," she suggested. "Shun, you and Shu go look for supplies we can bring back to the village. Shen and I will find someone to exchange the gold without drawing too much attention."
Shun and Shu agreed, and the group separated, weaving through the busy streets. Shen and Yan moved carefully, eventually coming across an older merchant who seemed honest. He sat behind a small booth filled with rare items—jewelry, fabrics, and trinkets.
Shen approached the merchant cautiously. "Excuse me, sir. We have something we'd like to exchange."
The merchant looked up from his wares, his eyes sharp and experienced. "What do you have?"
Shen glanced around nervously before showing him the gold. The merchant's eyes widened slightly, but he kept his composure. "That's a fine piece of gold," he said. "I can give you a good price for it, but gold is unpredictable. If you're looking for long-term value, I suggest you invest in something more stable—like goods or property."
Yan stepped forward. "That's exactly what we were thinking. We want to use the gold to buy supplies and start a business back in our village."
The merchant nodded approvingly. "Smart. I like that. I can sell you a range of supplies at a fair price—food, textiles, even tools. Things that are hard to find in smaller villages like yours."
Shen and Yan discussed it briefly before agreeing. They negotiated with the merchant, exchanging the gold for enough supplies to start their business. The merchant even offered them advice on which items would sell the best in their village.
By the time Shun and Shu returned, Shen and Yan had already arranged everything. The siblings regrouped, excited but tired, knowing that their hard journey was far from over.
"Is everything ready?" Shun asked.
Yan smiled, showing them the supplies they had purchased. "We're ready. We have everything we need to start our new business."
The next morning, the siblings began their journey back home, their cart now filled with goods and supplies. Though the road back was just as difficult, they were filled with a sense of hope and determination.
When they finally returned to their village, word quickly spread about the siblings' return from Vichanese. People gathered to see the goods they had brought back, and within days, the siblings set up their market stall.
Business was slow at first, but with Yan's hard work and Shen's careful management, their market stall grew more popular. Over time, the family's fortune began to turn around, and the village respected them for their resilience and determination.
The gold their father had left them was now gone, but in its place, they had built something far more valuable: a future.
