Chapter 6 - The Road to Daenerys

The next day at dawn, Jon and his men set out to continue their journey. Jon, determined to protect the eggs and meet up with Daenerys and Viserys as soon as possible, decided to ride Cannibal. With a deafening roar, the dragon rose into the air, carrying Jon above the ruins of Valyria.

From above, Jon could see the vast landscape that stretched out before him. Mountains of ash, winding rivers bubbling with heat, formed a natural tapestry of wild beauty. However, Jon knew that the road ahead would be full of danger.

Leaving the ruins of Valyria behind. The wind whipped at their faces as they soared above the burning sea, Cannibal with Jon on his back leading the formation, his roar echoing through the sky.

Days turned into weeks as they traveled. Despite the dangers, the men's spirits were high. The promise of a new beginning and the possibility of restoring Targaryen glory drove them forward.

During the journey, Jon took the time to study the ancient books he had found in Valyria. The texts were filled with references to ancient magic and dragons. As he read, he realized the enormous responsibility he had taken on by carrying the dragon eggs with him.

One day, as they rode across a plain, they were attacked by a group of Dothraki. The nomads, attracted by the shine of the treasures Jon carried, charged at them with their bows and spears. A fierce battle ensued, but the superiority of having a dragon reduced the Dothraki ships to ashes.

After weeks of travel, the horizon was tinted with the first light of dawn. Jon, riding Cannibal, led his company towards a small coastal town. There, they had received news that Daenerys and Viserys were under the protection of a local noble.

Upon reaching the manor, Jon ordered his men and Cannibal to keep their distance. Only he would enter. With a deep sigh, he pushed open the heavy oak doors and stepped into the great hall.

Daenerys and Viserys were sitting at a table, surrounded by guards. Seeing him, Daenerys stood up, her eyes widening in surprise and joy.

By this time Jon's once black hair had changed to a typical Targaryen white blonde

"Aemon," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Daenerys had been dreaming of Jon for a long time and now she finally had him in front of her

Jon approached her, his gaze fixed on her "Daenerys," he replied, bowing his head in greeting "It's been a long journey, it's nice to finally meet you."

Viserys stood up with a mix of curiosity and distrust. "And you are..."

"Jon Snow or Aemon Targaryen," Jon replied, "former bastard of Ned Stark and, the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark the rightful heir to the Iron Throne his nephew and the one with the dragon eggs."

A deathly silence fell over the room. Daenerys and Viserys exchanged a glance. The dragon eggs were the missing piece in their plan to reclaim the Iron Throne.

"The eggs," Viserys said, his voice shaking with emotion. "They are real."

Jon nodded. "And they are safe. But not only that. I have brought my men and Cannibal with me."

Daenerys smiled. "So, my brother. We have found what we have sought."

Jon would take the eggs out of a bag he had and put them on the table.

A silence heavy with anticipation filled the room. Daenerys, her eyes shining, walked over to Jon and took one of the dragon eggs. It was larger than she had imagined, with iridescent scales that changed color in the candlelight.

"They are beautiful," she whispered, stroking the rough surface. "More beautiful than I ever imagined."

Viserys, however, seemed uneasy. "And dangerous," he added. "Dragons are powerful creatures, capable of destroying kingdoms."

Jon nodded. "They are. But they can also be our salvation."

They sat around a table and began to discuss their plans. Daenerys and Viserys had been plotting how to reclaim the Iron Throne for years, but Jon's arrival with the dragon eggs changed everything. They now had a powerful weapon at their disposal, but also an enormous responsibility.

"We must join forces," Daenerys said. "Together, we can conquer Westeros."

Viserys, however, was more cautious. "I do not trust the Starks. They have always been our enemies."

Jon stood up and approached Viserys. "Perhaps in the past, but now our interests coincide. We have a common goal: to take back what belongs to us."

After a long discussion, they finally came to an agreement. They would join forces and march north where he would meet his other family and reunite the north. Jon would lead the vanguard with his men and his dragons, while Daenerys and Viserys would be tasked with gathering an army and securing alliances outside of Westeros.

After weeks of traveling, the group finally reached a secluded, safe place, far from prying eyes. Daenerys, with a mix of excitement and nervousness, summoned Jon and Viserys.

"It's time," she announced, pointing to the eggs resting on a bed of salt.

Carefully, they placed three eggs in a circle around a funeral pyre. Daenerys, dressed in ceremonial attire, stood in the center. Raising her hand, she spoke ancient words in High Valyrian, words that had been passed down through generations.

A blue flame erupted from the pyre, enveloping the eggs in an intense glow. The heat was scorching, but Daenerys remained motionless, her gaze fixed on the eggs. Suddenly, one of them began to vibrate. Cracks formed in the shell, and slowly, it began to split open.

A small dragon, black as night, emerged from the shell. His eyes were bright red, and his wings, still small and wet, slowly unfolded. The other two eggs soon followed suit, giving birth to two more dragons: one with silver scales and one an emerald green.

Daenerys knelt down and reached out to the black dragon. The creature approached her cautiously, sniffing her hand before placing its head in her palm. The other two dragons one went to Viserys, creating an instant bond with its riders while the last one stayed still.

Cannibal was behind Jon seeing those little dragon nuggets almost drooling. Jon would look at him.

"Don't even think about eating them, cannibal," Jon would tell him.

Cannibal snorted angrily and sadly because he wouldn't have any snacks.

Some time later

Daenerys and Jon walk along the shore, letting the waves wash over their feet. The sun begins to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple.

Daenerys: "Jon, sometimes I feel like I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. The responsibility of my people, the pressure of restoring the Targaryens to glory..." Her voice cracks slightly.

Jon: "I feel that pressure too. But being with you makes it all easier. You make me feel... complete."

Daenerys smiles slightly. She moves even closer and rests her head on Jon's shoulder. "And you me."

Jon looks into her eyes, his gaze softening. He moves closer slowly, guiding her hand to his face. Daenerys closes her eyes, waiting. In an instant, their lips meet. The kiss is soft at first, exploratory, but quickly intensifies. Jon tastes the salt of her lips and the scent of her hair. Daenerys responds with equal passion, wrapping her arms around his neck.

When they part, they both gasp for air. Daenerys rests her forehead against Jon's, their hearts beating in unison.

Jon: "That was..."

Daenerys: "amazing."

They both stare into each other's eyes, their gazes filled with complicity and desire. But suddenly, a sound is heard. They quickly separate and turn towards the direction the sound came from.

Jon: "Did you hear that?"

Daenerys: "I'm not sure."

Jon draws Dark Sisters, listening intently. The sound is repeated, closer this time. It's the creaking of branches and the rustling of leaves.

Jon: "Someone's watching us."

Daenerys: "We have to go."

They grab their things and run away from the beach, leaving behind the place where they had given themselves over to their feelings. As they run, they hold hands, their connection stronger than ever.

Later

After a moment of silence, Jon breaks the spell. "We must part. We have much to do."

Daenerys nods, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "You are right. But before we go, I want you to know that… this means a lot to me."

Jon takes her hand and brings it to his lips. "Me too, Dany."

Viserys, who had been watching the scene from afar, approaches. "Sister, we must leave. The lords of the Free Cities await us."

Daenerys turns to Jon. "Viserys and I will go and seek support in the Free Cities. I… I have a plan for you."

Jon raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "What plan?"

"I want you to go to Dorne. After the rebellion and the death of the princess and her children, they have held a lot of resentment against the usurper and the Lannisters can take advantage of that if you talk to them and convince them we will have the North and Dorne on our side."

Jon stares at her "it's a great plan Dany"

Daenerys nods. "I think she could be our most powerful ally. With the Martells on our side and the North we could conquer Westeros."

Jon reflects for a moment. "I will go to Dorne. And I will get their support."

A few weeks later

After a long journey, Jon arrives in Dorne. Disguised as a simple merchant, he infiltrates the city of the Martells. After several weeks of investigation, he discovers a bastard daughter of the prince and when he sees her he would feel a certain connection with her

In a secret meeting, Jon reveals his true identity and the reason for his visit. The woman, who turns out to be Rhaenys Targaryen, is skeptical at first, but when she hears Jon talk about his aunt and uncle Daenerys and Viserys, she begins to believe him, apart from his Valyrian features.

Rhaenys decides to help Jon. Together, they plan how to rally the armies of Dorne and join their cause.

Meanwhile, in the Free Cities, Viserys and Daenerys manage to secure the support of several powerful lords. With an ever-growing army, he feels closer to reclaiming the Iron Throne.

Jon and Rhaenys, the daughter of Elia Martell, present themselves to Prince Doran Martell at the Water Gardens of Sunspear. The prince, a man of frail appearance but a shrewd mind, greets them with disarming calm.

"My lord, I am Aemon Targaryen," Jon begins, "I come on behalf of House Targaryen, to ask for your support."

Doran listens intently, his gaze fixed on Jon. "Go on,"

Jon lays out their plans to reclaim the Iron Throne and the importance of uniting the forces of Dorne and the Targaryens. Rhaenys complements his tale, speaking of her desire to avenge her mother and brother.

Doran nods thoughtfully. "The death of Elia and Aegon was a tragedy. Dorne has not yet healed from that. We are ready for war."

Jon insists, "Together we can build a better future for Westeros. A future where justice and peace reign."

As they argue, a man approaches them. He is tall and muscular with armor and a sword.

Jon is stunned. "Ser Arthur... but I thought I had fallen at the Tower of Joy."

Arthur Dayne smiles bitterly. "Not all tales are true, my lord. I survived, it is an honor to stand before you my prince." He kneels before him.

"Dorne will join your cause." Doran says.

Jon and Rhaenys exchange glances of joy and relief. "Thank you, my lord. Your support is invaluable."

Doran raises a goblet of wine. "To the union of our peoples and the downfall of our enemies."

Days later

News of the alliance between Dorne and the Targaryens spreads quickly throughout Westeros. Cersei Lannister and her allies are forced to reevaluate their strategy, while Daenerys' supporters see in this union a sign that winter has passed and spring is near.
