"So you are sure he's fine now?" I asked the doctor again to be sure, and the doctor nodded in affirmation, smiling.
Marion held onto my lower back tight as he hid his face on my thigh, avoiding eye contact with the doctor and nurses.
"Thank you, doctor," I appreciated and carried the bag as I carried Marion off the hospital bed.
I held his wrist as I strode out of the hospital, holding the bag in my other hand. I appreciated the doctor one more time before leaving the ward premises.
We boarded the elevator, and just as we stepped out of the elevator, we bumped into Jonathan. He looked like one that was being chased like a ghost.
As soon as he realized he had bumped into me, he smiled out in relief. Marion ran to his arms and he carried him up.
"I'm sorry, I'm late," He apologized and tried to take the bag from my hand, and I declined immediately, moving the bag in another direction.
