Upon returning to the common lounge, Wayne noticed many people seated in the room, yet the atmosphere was unusually quiet, with everyone deep in thought.
"What's going on?" Wayne asked curiously as he took an empty seat beside Cedric.
Cedric wore a complicated expression. "Your two roommates are too clever; they asked two questions that no one can answer."
"Everyone is thinking about it," he added.
Wayne looked at him incredulously. His two roommates were definitely talented individuals in their own right. Toby had even been praised by Snape as being as foolish as Neville.
"Toby, what exactly did you two ask?"
"Oh, Wayne," Toby looked up at him and asked very seriously, "Do expired laxatives still work?"
Norman chimed in, "If you drink while riding a flying broom, is it considered drinking and driving?"
Wayne sighed, "You two should transfer. The little Hufflepuff house can no longer accommodate you; you might as well go wreak havoc in Ravenclaw."
It was the start of a new week. Harry walked into the Great Hall looking deflated, accompanied by Ron. Both of them had not yet fully healed; their eyes were bruised, and they had bumps on their heads. When other students asked, they claimed they had tripped and fallen down the stairs.
However, no one believed them. Who could fall down the stairs and end up with two black eyes?
As if fated to happen, Draco Malfoy looked up from his meal just as Harry passed by, and their eyes met.
"Hmph!"
Harry and Malfoy both scoffed simultaneously. At that moment, Malfoy did not look any better either; his once neatly styled blonde hair had a noticeable gap, as if it had been gnawed off.
The bruise at the corner of his mouth was quite clear, and as he gritted his teeth and made a fierce expression, he was about to throw some insults at Harry. Unexpectedly, Harry laughed first.
"Hahaha, Malfoy, why do you have a missing tooth?"
Ron also began to laugh, and the two of them mocked Malfoy without restraint, causing the blonde boy's face to turn an interesting shade of red.
"Potter, do you want to fight again?" Malfoy spat through gritted teeth, his speech somewhat muffled due to the gap left by his missing tooth. He only realized when he returned home that he had lost a tooth from the fight.
Upon recalling the event, he realized it was actually Crabbe who had injured him by mistake. He was so furious that he nearly vomited.
Today, Harry had again reopened his wound. If it weren't for the crowd of younger wizards around, he would have rushed over and punched Harry in retaliation, trying to take back the tooth that Harry knocked out.
Harry shot back with a witticism, "I don't want to knock out all your teeth; otherwise, you'll have nothing to eat."
He certainly wouldn't agree to that; if it weren't for Wayne's help on Friday night, he and Ron and Neville would be in serious trouble.
