Chapter 11 - The Arrogance of Power

Averia pushed Siara aside, her deep gaze fixed on Elvis. The same old arrogance and rage were visible in her eyes. There was a chill in her voice as she said, "Come, Elvis. You've finally become worthy of standing before me. Before, I felt pity looking at you. Now, you instill fear."

Her words carried a strange satisfaction, as if she had been waiting for this moment. Drawing her sword, Averia began to advance. The gleam from her sword and the invincible confidence in her stride were unmistakable. "Now, let's see how far you can go."

Without uttering a word, Elvis stared at her with intense eyes, flames of hatred burning within them. His hands, glowing with the curse mark, radiated a blue electric light, making him appear even more dangerous.

Turning towards her army, Averia shouted, "Army of the Djinn! Destroy this army of darkness! Tonight, they shall all be buried!" Her voice carried such fury that her words echoed through the air. The Djinn army immediately took to the skies, rushing towards Elvis' forces. Their sharp swords gleamed, and their movements were as swift as the wind.

Elvis glanced at his army of darkness, which had already risen from the Valley of Death. Dark shadows danced around them, but their eyes reflected only death and destruction. Pointing toward his army, Elvis commanded, "Rise and show them what true darkness is."

A fierce battle erupted between the Djinn and the army of darkness. Swords clashed, and the lightning illuminated the battlefield. The Djinn attacked from the air, while Elvis' forces, empowered by the electric storm, fought back from the ground.

Standing at a distance, Siara and Kevin watched the terrifying scene unfold. Fear was clearly etched on Siara's face, and her eyes showed helplessness. "Is... is this the end?" she asked in a trembling voice.

Kevin, grimacing, replied, "If Averia loses, everything will be over. Nothing will be left."

The townspeople standing outside the castle were also witnessing the battle. Averia's grand castle was now surrounded by darkness and lightning. Thunder boomed in the sky, and destruction lay all around.

Averia looked at Elvis once more. The two now stood face to face. "You sold your soul to gain this power, Elvis," Averia said, her voice dripping with hatred and disgust. "But you know, this power will never save you."

Raising his sword, Elvis replied in a calm but dangerous tone, "You don't understand, Averia. I'm no longer human. I am the darkness that will end everything." A merciless glint shone in his eyes, and lightning surged from his curse mark.

"Your end is near," Averia snarled through gritted teeth and, with sword raised, charged at Elvis. The brilliance of her sword lit up the battlefield as she advanced.

Thus began the battle that would decide the fate of this world.

Averia swung her sword in a deadly strike and shouted, "Your end is near, Elvis!" Her sword, moving with lightning speed, darted towards Elvis, but Elvis blocked the attack with his own sword, surrounded by electric currents. "Your sword can do nothing to me, Averia! Use all the power you've got!"

Averia's eyes gleamed with anger as she hissed, "You think you can stand against me now? Hahaha!" She laughed wickedly, adding, "This is the same sword, Elvis, that wiped out your wife, Arena, and your unborn child. And now, your death will be written by this very sword!"

Hearing this, Elvis, who had been retreating, suddenly stopped. Blood rushed to his eyes, as if he had lost all restraint. His fists clenched tighter, and the electricity around his sword flared even more fiercely.

With a roar, Elvis bellowed, "Yes, Arena was my life! You took my life away... now I'll take your breath away!" His voice was filled with nothing but cruelty and the fire of revenge.

Averia, lifting her sword for another attack, said, "You can never defeat me, Elvis. You still haven't gotten over that pain, hahaha!"

But this time, Elvis, now stronger than before, pushed her sword back with a forceful blow and said, "You took my family from me, Averia! Now I'll give you a pain so deep, it'll tear through your very soul."

Averia gripped her sword tighter and responded, "Come on, Elvis. Let's see who takes whose life first." There was a devilish gleam in her eyes and a deadly smile on her lips.

Now, the battle of lightning and fire had begun between the two warriors. Elvis' sword, engulfed in lightning, and Averia's sword, infused with her dark powers, clashed. With each collision, the sky resounded with thunder. Every strike and counterstrike pointed to one thing—this battle was nearing its end, and only one victor would emerge.
