The group descended from the attic, their steps slow and measured. The battle against the entity had left them exhausted, but the oppressive energy that had loomed over the mansion seemed to have dissipated. Yet, as they reached the main hall, Ryuto felt a lingering unease. Something wasn't right.
Nina flopped onto the couch in the sitting room, dramatically draping an arm over her eyes. "I'm officially done for the day. No more ghosts, no more monsters. Just let me sleep for a year."
Celeste sat nearby, her staff resting against the arm of her chair. Her exhaustion was evident, but her mind was still racing. She leaned forward, her hands clasped tightly. "The energy we just sealed… it wasn't fully gone."
Ryuto stopped pacing and turned to her, frowning. "What do you mean? The chest sealed it, didn't it?"
