The sun slowly rose over the valley, washing everything in a warm golden light. The battlefield, once filled with chaos and fear, now lay quiet. Cinder stood among the fallen leaves and broken branches, her heart heavy with the events of the night before. She could still hear the echoes of roars and growls, but now there was a stillness that made her feel uneasy.

Cinder looked around at the remaining pack wolves. Some were tending to the injured, while others lay quietly, still shaken by what had happened. The victory had felt so powerful, yet the cost weighed heavily on her. Zara approached, her eyes filled with worry.

"Cinder, are you okay?" Zara asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Cinder sighed, shaking her head. "I don't know. I feel different. Stronger, but also… confused." She glanced at the fallen wolves, their wounds reminding her of the fierce battle. "I never wanted to hurt anyone."
