"So...what are these ten towers?" Arthur asked Kagekawa.
"As the name suggests, there are ten towers. Each of these towers are scattered across the world, constantly moving!" Kagekawa spread out his arms.
"What the hell do you mean moving? How can a tower move?" Arthur questioned.
"How the towers move isn't important. It's who they're going to move towards."
"So why would I enter these towers? What's in it for me?"
"There's a lot of great benefits you'll gain. However, the risk is far greater. Your health. Your strength. Your sanity. They will all be robbed from you if you cannot live up to the challenges you'll face once inside the tower. I'll say this right now Arthur, not a single person has even entered all ten towers.
"Not even you?! Then-"
"-However, I have explored six of these towers."
"Why not the rest?"
"Simply because...I wasn't chosen I suppose."
"Chosen?"
"I did say to find the towers...but that's not quite right. It's more like that they'll find you. Almost as if they have a will of their own. Haha!"
"Ah, whatever! Say for if I do get chosen, what happens when I clear these towers?"
"A reward."
"A reward?! What the hell is that supposed to mean? That's way too vague."
"It can be anything. A potion that greatly increases your physical abilities or your magical abilities. An extraordinary spell or equipment. Anything. Whatever reward is granted to you...it'll make you stronger."
"A reward that makes me stronger." Arthur's eyes opened wide, clenching his fists. Arthur started to smile, showing his teeth. "If I clear these towers...will I really be able to beat Sedah?"
Kagekawa smirked. "Let me give you a fair warning...Sedah's completed nine out of the ten towers."
"So he's one short...I'm going to clear all these towers and beat him-I swear it! Ah! How do you know there are ten towers?"
"I've cleared six towers. In those six towers that I've explored, there are many depictions, books and images. Ten towers. Each one being bigger than the next. It's common knowledge that there are ten."
"I see. Ten towers in ten years...will it really take me only ten years?"
"Absolutely not! It'll take you much longer you fool! All my life amounted to was six towers. All Sedah's life amounted to were nine towers and he's lived much longer! Even so, I'll believe in you, Arthur.
"It doesn't sound like you have very much faith-Ah! Master, what rewards did you gain from the six towers you cleared?"
"My rewards? Well-" Amygdala placed her hand on Kagekawa's shoulder. Tightly clenching with animosity. "Kagekawa. I will not allow Arthur to enter these towers. Especially since our wedding is soon. Haha! Understand?" Her hair seemed to move vigorously and independently. Amygdala smiled, but underneath, she was full of rage.
"Arthur...help me. Please. Control your wife." He whispered and gestured to Arthur.
Arthur then grabbed both of Amygdala's hands with both of his.
"Please. Let me enter these towers, I promise I'll marry you straight after! I swear it! I love you!"
Amygdala blushed. Her hair had calmed down. Steam had come out of her head. "Love...love..he loves me! Kyahhh!" She thought as she grabbed her hair, covering her face with it, out of embarrassment.
"F-fine...I'll allow you to..."
"Thank you, my dear wife."
"W-wife-kyahhh. He called me his wife even though we aren't married yet-kyahh!" She ran to Arthur's room and lay on his bed to calm herself from her overwhelming emotions.
Chronos anxiously turned to both Arthur and Kagekawa, "What should I do? How can I grow stronger and help?"
"Chronos, you will not join Arthur in these towers. No matter what. You are far too young and weak. It is too dangerous." Kagekawa said with a straight face.
Chronos looked down.
"However, in these ten years, I will train you. Make you stronger. You will be under my guidance while Arthur is away." Kagekawa placed his hand on Chronos's shoulder. "I look forward to seeing how strong you become. Haha!" He spoke with a smile.
Chronos looked up. "I'll become stronger! Help Arthur and also beat up every God! I promise!"
"Haha! That's the spirit!"
"Master, where should I go to enter the tower?"
"Where? There is no such place."
"Hah?! Ah, right. They have to choose me...Then how the hell do I enter these towers!? How did you enter?"
"Arthur, the towers are forever moving and they only open themselves to those they deem worthy and those who seek it."
"Deem worthy? Seek it? I'll just figure it out. Kagekawa, I'm going to pack some supplies and leave. Thank you for your guidance and hospitality!" Arthur bowed.
Kagekawa was stunned, not expecting Arthur to be this well-mannered.
"Ahem! Arthur, I suggest you travel away from Vastos. Head towards the east of this world. Explore and gain a deeper understanding of this world. Engross yourself in chasing the vast riches this world has to offer. Seek the ten towers and their bountiful reward. Become a true adventurer."
"East, huh? I've always wanted to explore the world. I guess now is the perfect time."
"Sahrak Darin is a beautiful country. East of Vastos and the first country you'll pass through."
Chronos's eyes lit up. "I want to travel around the world with Arthur!" He said with a big grin on his face, clenching both his fist close to his chest.
