Tony Stark was no fool. Just getting those files with a single video wouldn't work—if the roles were reversed, he wouldn't agree either.
So, he laid out his second bargaining chip.
"Let's hear it."
Nick Fury maintained his composure.
"Using JARVIS, I've already conducted a preliminary analysis of Mr. Fantastic's combat techniques."
"Though mysticism isn't JARVIS's specialty..."
"He still managed to summarize a few things."
With that, Tony pressed a button on the projector, and the footage began playing.
At double speed, the group quickly watched the video.
When they saw Ronan appear and disappear so suddenly in the video, Fury seemed to recall what had happened to him just a few hours ago.
That scene was definitely something he didn't want to revisit.
"I had JARVIS slow down the video, and I discovered something important."
Tony pressed the button again, and the video changed.
The segment being shown was of Ronan dismantling the Iron Man suits with his bare hands.
They watched as Ronan moved with astonishing speed, appearing behind each suit and simply placing his palm on it.
Moments later, Tony's proud suits were reduced to mere scrap metal.
"So, you're saying he used some special technique to destroy your suits directly?"
Steve Rogers seemed to grasp something.
Though he didn't understand how the Iron Man suits were made, they were, after all, just armor.
But when the person in the video touched them, they immediately disintegrated.
It was terrifying.
"Exactly. I examined the dismantled suits myself."
"The internal structure wasn't damaged, but the connections were completely severed."
"Cap, if I don't set a time limit, how quickly could you completely disassemble those suits?"
"In other words, without using brute force, could you do that at all?"
Tony looked at Steve Rogers.
Steve was silent for a long while before finally shaking his head.
"I could do it, but it would take a long time."
"And before that, you could do countless things to counter me."
His answer clearly didn't surprise Tony.
When Tony had first gotten the results, even he didn't believe it. He ran the tests again.
But the results were the same.
Which meant the opponent could reduce his precious Iron Man suits to scrap in a second.
And Tony himself might not be able to fight back at all.
That was truly frightening!
"There are some records indicating that unknown mystical forces could achieve such things."
Nick Fury, who had been silent, finally spoke.
After all, he knew the most secrets among those present.
"That's right. And there's another point that might have escaped everyone's notice."
"The way he moves—it looks incredibly fast to us."
"But in fact, after I slowed it down multiple times, I discovered something. It wasn't about speed."
"Instead, he did something often seen in science fiction."
"Teleportation!"
Tony closed his eyes. The conclusion even made him feel despair.
Everyone present gasped.
Teleportation?
Wasn't that only found in mythology?
If it were the golden portal that enabled his movement, they might still have a chance.
For instance, they could prevent him from entering the portal or predict where the next portal would open and ambush him.
But with teleportation, their chances of winning were almost zero!
"So, have you come up with a plan to deal with him?"
Nick Fury took a deep breath. He wanted to hear Tony's conclusion.
However, Tony looked at Fury as though he were out of his mind.
"What's wrong?"
"You've said all this. Don't you want to deal with him?"
Nick Fury was dissatisfied with Tony's reaction.
If you don't want to deal with him, why study him so much?
Nothing better to do?
"Of course not."
"At least with current technology, there's no way we can overcome this spatial tech."
"You don't seriously think we can take on someone like him, do you?"
Tony curled his lips, thinking Fury was being unrealistic.
Teleportation?
Forget current technology—even in the next few decades, or even a hundred years, humanity might not be able to overcome such technology.
"Also, I don't think he's an enemy."
This time, it was Steve Rogers who spoke.
"Not an enemy?"
"He broke into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s office, killed so many of my agents, and he's not an enemy?"
Fury was having a hard time keeping his anger in check.
This kind of slap in the face was something Fury couldn't tolerate.
"You investigated his personal life first, and then he came to your doorstep."
"You didn't think you could snoop around without any repercussions, did you?"
Tony scoffed, clearly disapproving of Fury's actions.
After all, Tony himself had been investigated by Fury back in the day.
And if he hadn't been on the brink of death, S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't even have handed over the relic his father had left him.
So, Tony never had any fondness for Fury or S.H.I.E.L.D.
Fury was left speechless by Tony's words.
Yeah, why should he be allowed to investigate others without retaliation?
Even under U.S. law, investigating someone without a crime is considered invasive.
If he weren't S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Director, this behavior would have been exposed by the media.
Now that Ronan had come knocking, giving them a lesson, Fury had no choice but to swallow his pride.
It left a bad taste in his mouth.
"So, what are you trying to say?"
Fury took a deep breath, trying to calm down.
"What I'm saying is simple."
"Next time I face him, I don't want to feel so powerless."
"Even a tiny bit of power to fight back is what I need!"
Tony's voice was firm.
The Avengers?
Might as well rename it the Anti-Mr. Fantastic Alliance for now!
