Chapter 55 - Ch.55 Farewell Party

What do you mean, years of hard work and struggle?!

You've only been practicing this spell for a few days, and now it's "years of struggle"?

And your joke is way over the top!

Doctor Strange immediately dodged Ronan's hand, feeling at a loss for words.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I think there's something wrong with your brain."

Strange reached out, indicating he wanted to touch Ronan's forehead.

But Ronan slapped his hand away.

Ronan resisted the urge to roll his eyes. How did Strange end up like this?

What happened to being meticulous, serious, and stoic?

Where's the face of the Sorcerer Supreme?

Whoever turned Strange into this... this is unacceptable!

In the end, Ronan's joking around managed to brush off Strange's questions.

He waved his hand, dismissing the Mirror Dimension, and the three of them began free-falling toward the ground.

Each of them immediately employed their own methods to land safely.

Oh wait, safe landing was just the bare minimum.

They also had to see who could land the fastest and with the most nonchalant style.

When all three of them landed simultaneously, they instinctively glanced at each other, then silently looked away.

Hmm.

This time, no reason for mockery.

Next time then!

With the help of Stark Industries, the New York Sanctum had already begun its reconstruction.

Tony Stark even joked about whether he should switch careers and start a construction company—who knows, he might earn more than Stark Industries does now.

This dark humor made everyone laugh, except for Strange.

Jokes aside, there were only a few days left until the time machine would be repaired.

Their next mission was to return the Infinity Stones.

And then, send Ronan home.

For the first time, Ronan felt a deep yearning for the word "home."

Of course, he was quite satisfied with this "summer camp" experience.

After all, spending such an eventful weekend wasn't too bad.

Moreover, once Ronan returned, he'd still have two days of the weekend left.

Finishing his homework would only take a day at most, which meant he still had a whole day to relax.

Just thinking about it felt great.

Steve Rogers thought they should throw a party before they left.

The purpose was also to bid farewell to Ronan.

This time, Ronan had indeed helped them a lot.

Even though Ronan was a visitor from another world, they had fought side by side, and Ronan had helped them significantly.

If Ronan hadn't removed the Time Stone back then, they might have all perished together.

You could say Ronan saved all their lives.

When everyone heard this, they all agreed.

Each of them had crossed paths with Ronan in one way or another, and Tony Stark and the others had formed a good rapport with Ronan.

So, this party was naturally agreed upon.

The only one who wasn't happy was probably Ronan.

You can't imagine how awkward it is when you're at a lively party surrounded by people you consider friends.

You've fought side by side; you've faced life and death together.

Such bonds are rare.

But when they all raise their bottles and glasses, and you can only lift your glass of juice—how awkward that must be.

That's right, at the party, Ronan didn't touch a drop of alcohol.

Not because he doesn't drink, but because Ronan was underage.

For some reason, even though these superheroes usually treated American laws as a joke, this time they all unanimously supported the law.

They insisted Ronan couldn't drink.

In the end, Ronan had no choice but to substitute juice for alcohol.

When he lifted his juice and saw the mischievous smiles on their faces, Ronan suddenly understood.

So, they planned this to mess with him!

"Hahaha, who would've thought we had a little kid here?"

"Come on, little guy who can only drink juice, let's have a toast."

Tony Stark, holding his glass, smugly approached Ronan.

It was obvious he had ulterior motives.

"Yeah, and to think I'm only sixteen and have another seventy years to live—makes time feel way too long."

"Oh wait, maybe one day I could become immortal. When I think about it, living forever could be quite a drag."

"Don't you think, Tony?"

Faced with this situation, Ronan couldn't back down.

As he always said, when it came to verbal sparring, he never lost!

Sure enough, Ronan's words left Tony Stark thoroughly stumped.

You have to understand, Tony was old enough to be Ronan's father.

When he heard Ronan say this, Tony Stark felt a tightness in his chest, and had a sudden urge to turn around and leave.

It was Tony who had suggested this whole prank when they were planning the party.

According to Tony Stark, Ronan's words were just too irritating.

Especially when he made those sarcastic comments—they felt suffocating.

Comments like "You, the mighty Avengers, need to be saved by a sixteen-year-old kid," the more they heard it, the more frustrating it became.

So, they agreed that they had to make Ronan embarrass himself at least once.

The final result seemed like they won, but not really.

Ronan's words delivered an epic level of damage, like an AOE attack.

No one here was under thirty-five, some were even older.

So, without exception, they were all hit by Ronan's words.

"How did you develop a mouth like that?"

"Why is it so different from ours?"

War Machine obviously couldn't stand hearing such words either.

From his appearance, he seemed even older than Tony Stark.

"No, it's a matter of IQ."

Ronan pointed to his temple, delivering another critical hit.

Though they all felt like they wanted to beat Ronan up, a few hours later, their anger dissipated.

Because they had all turned into a bunch of drunks, lying around the room, completely unconscious.

Only Ronan, who had been drinking juice the whole time, was "spared."

Looking around at the room full of drunks, Ronan's face took on a strange expression.

Because he saw all sorts of bizarre poses.

For example, someone was in a flying pose, another was half-buried in the floor.

And some were even hugging each other—it was a sight you couldn't unsee.

So, Ronan arranged them into all sorts of funny poses, then pulled out his long-treasured phone.

Click, click.

The sound of the shutter echoed repeatedly.

Especially with Tony Stark's embarrassing photos, Ronan took a lot!

Ronan planned to give these embarrassing photos to Tony Stark as a farewell gift before leaving!

Just thinking about it felt like a huge surprise!

"Tony, my dear, which one is your favorite: the kissing one, or the snuggling one?"

"Or maybe both are your favorites?"

Just thinking about the look on Tony Stark's face made Ronan feel utterly satisfied.

This was so satisfying.

In the end, Ronan didn't forget to take a group selfie with everyone passed out in the background.

"Come on, guys, smile!"
