Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

I first invested into computer science skills, although I got a little bit of knowledge it is not enough for high level development. I also figured out the prices of the system, high school level cost 25 points each and PHD cost 50 each. I have 325 right now, I upgraded my computer science to PHD level. I felt a flood of information on various topic including AI, cybersecurity, and finally programing.

After I have digested all the information I began on brain storming ideas that would become the next hit of the century. I jotted down all the ideas I have down in a notebook, after writing I re read all of them.

Sky Hopper: Players control a small, colorful bird that must navigate through a series of floating platforms in a vibrant, pixelated sky. The objective is to hop from platform to platform without falling or colliding with obstacles.

 Neon Runner: Set in a futuristic cityscape, players control a neon-lit hoverboard rider dodging obstacles.

Galactic Rhythm Jump: Players control a bouncing alien that hops across a series of increasingly complex geometric patterns in space.

Void Ascend: Players take on the role of a small, determined character trying to ascend through an endless void filled with shifting platforms, traps, and formidable enemies. The game combines precision platforming with fast-paced decision-making.

I thought for a while, infact I thought for a couple hours with no solution. I have come to the conclusion that I will make all of this games but which one would bring the most attention of the people. This is the problem I have been trying to solve for a while now.

*RING* *RING*

I heard my phone ring as I saw it was my friend Lukas who called, thus I pick up and he asks "Hey jack, are going to the gym today."

"Nah, bro. I got to work today"

"Oh, that alright then"

"Anyways, I have a request."

"Go right away my friend"

"Tell me, which of this games will get the most popularity"

"you are making a game, let me hear it bro"

I told him all the ideas that I have and waited in silence before he said

"All of them sound good, but to start the a gaming company I would recommend going with the first one. It sounds like a popular game I used to play when I was young"

"Yeah it is sort of based on that" I said before talking with him for a while and hanging up. I immediately got to work as I listed out all the mechanics of the game, with the instore purchases too.

Core Gameplay:

Player Control: Players control a small, colorful bird that jumps from one floating platform to another in a vibrant, pixelated sky.

Controls could be simple taps or swipes to guide the bird's direction and manage the strength of each hop.

Platform Navigation: The platforms vary in size and distance, with some moving or disappearing. Obstacles like clouds, spikes, or gusts of wind add difficulty as players try to avoid falling or colliding.

Objective: The goal is to hop from platform to platform without falling, and to achieve the highest score possible.

Difficulty Curve: The game is moderately difficult until the player reaches a score of 100. After hitting 100, the game becomes much harder, with increasing challenges at every subsequent 100-point milestone.

Lives and Cooldown:

Hearts: Players start with 5 hearts, and each time they fail (fall or hit an obstacle), they lose a heart.

Cooldown: When all hearts are lost, the player must wait a certain amount of time before they can play again. The cooldown time depends on the score, with higher scores leading to longer wait times.

Monetization: Players can bypass the cooldown period by spending money. The more times a player loses, the more money is required to bypass the cooldown. This charge resets daily.

Progression and Rewards:

Milestone Rewards: At every 100-point milestone, the player earns in-game currency.

Shop: The shop offers skins and accessories for the bird, which can be bought using either in-game currency (earned by reaching milestones) or real money.

After I wrote down everything I want there to be, I then spent 200 points getting the code from the system itself. Since it is from the system, and I also checked it. The code contains all the other necessary features such as payment security, background music which is generated by Ai using different instruments. The AI records the time spent with each instrument and changes it accordingly for example if I like the flute play I will likely get more flute play but the ai will modify it by adding other music's play etc.

"System I want to upgrade the security more" I said

[ Sorry sir but I generate the solution based on your current knowledge. So to upgrade security you need to upgrade your knowledge in computer science or cybersecurity. Your current level is PHD Level]

I see, this is very entertaining feature this pushes me to be actively studying rather then just spending points in the system. I was not going to do that but it is reassuring to say the least. Well, next is equipment I got amazon prime for the best delivery. I hope onto amazon and get the ASUS ROG Scar 17, the best laptop for game development.

I also get the speakers and an entire set of chair and table for the development, it cost me less than 15,000 dollars. I have 285 thousand left, I began writing code for the core Gameplay in my old laptop for the rest of the day. At then end of the day, I finished the core gameplay section completely. I am tried as hell though as I slowly fall asleep thinking about the RP I would get from this.

{June 21st}

I unpacked all the items and set it up, I looked at my room now as it was a little congested with all the new equipment I have ordered. I then saw the time was 1 pm and as if on que *Grrree* my stomach grumbled.

"I think I can enjoy a little" I said looking at the amount of money I had, I went to the nearest subway to get a 12 inch subway. I also plan to order a Starbucks coffee.

{Time skip, Starbucks}

I waited for when it was finally my turn to get the coffee as I went to the counter, I saw the most beautiful women that is comparable to Lilly in beauty. She is about the same age as me she posses a radiant smile and sparkling brown eyes. Her brunette hair cascades in soft waves down to her shoulders, framing her heart-shaped face. Standing at a modest 5'6", she possesses a figure that is both curvy and athletic, with a hint of her Latin heritage in her sun-kissed skin.

"Hello, welcome to Starbucks" She said with a smile that reaches her face, seeing this I could not help but look away as I said

"Hi, name is Jack. I would like a American late with chocolate crime please."

"Sorry sir, the chocolate machine is broken." She said

"It is ok, make it white cream" I said

[ The system detects that some of the audience will have improper thoughts when the host says white cream. Please No homo, the host I chose is attracted to the opposite sex. Continue reading then]

I then waited for her to come back with the coffee, while I was waiting I built up some courage to look at her. When she came back with that radiant smile, she said "Here is your coffee"

"Thank you, You have really nice smile." I said

"Thank you, sir" she said a little smile not expecting a complement like that.

"When do you work here?" I ask

"Why do you need that, sir?" She said with a little uncomfortable expression, I hastily said

"Hey, I just want to brighten up my day with your smile. Is it that wrong?"

"Hey Kid, flirt with that girl later. We have work to do" A middle age man said with a displease expression. I noticed the line behind me and said with a apologetic smile

"I am sorry sir, I did not notice the line" I took the coffee and ran out of the store like my life depended on it. I never felt such an embracement in my life.

{Meanwhile in the store, Evelyn POV}

The boy asked when I would be present in the store. I have already rejected a lot of dates and many are still hopeless romantics that pursue me till today. I have to admit he was a little handsome with a cute face but it is not enough for me to give up my goal that easily.

"Why do you need that, sir?" I said, he looked like he noticed this and quickly scrambled for the right words. I noticed this and to be honest he was a little cute right now.

"Hey, I just want to brighten up my day with your smile. Is it that wrong?"

I almost burst out laughing at what I heard him say, he truly did not know how to flirt. This attempt just made him more cute at this point, before I could respond. A man behind him yelled at him which he quickly apologized and left in a hurry. I felt a little regret as I was about to give him the days I would be here but alas, I continued to work.
