Adon glanced at Lewis with a welcoming smile. "Now, about this mission; wasn't this supposed to be taken care long before I've arrived? Why is the the government
suddenly so interested in a vaccine which we don't even know if it's not some kind of honeytrap."
"Yes, we do not know for sure if this is all a perfectly laid out trap from AHL organization; but we believe that we are not the only ones who received this intel and god I wish not by any chance some other organization gets their hands on this serum..... Adon trust me on this but it will rise absolute HELL."
Adon flinched, thinking of all possible ways that people will want the military rule to fall. He collected himself back to his senses and remained optimistic. The Zwireich military was a superpower and going against it without a perfect plan would be straight up suicide. But some wars aren't fought out just by physical means. This was a battle of brains and time and everyone was ready to get their hands soaked in blood if it meant they could achieve their goal. The plague didn't just infected peoples bodies; rather it had diseased people's minds and souls rotting them away slowly but surely. It injected distrust, greed, homicidal thoughts and disharmony amongst people which made them latch on to any remaining hopes of going back to normal instead to learning how
to adapt in accordance with these changes. And AHL came in like the knight in his shining armor not too long ago.
But for the people who had already fallen defeated had nothing to lose anymore so they bet their last ounces of hopes onto them. "You will have to go under disguise to give your team a head start and I know this will be a long process with patience but I'm more than certain you will emerge with flying colors", Lewis encouraged Adon with all his might and although every part of it felt off Adon didn't want to disappoint the people that were putting their trust on him. Adon projected a weak smile to his major colonel before walking out to prepare for any kind of catastrophe which was going to be thrown at him.
Colanandro was located towards the western coastline which was also home to the most unusually surreal geographical layout but that was all before the cold war and
it becoming a central military base for the continent of Zwireich. It's beauty was now only exclusive to black and white photographs and paintings. A few parts were
declared as national reserves but it didn't take long for the military to buy them off as well for nuclear tests and training fields. Adon was staring out the bridge
that connected the main headquarters building to the other departments. The sky looked dull and gray with no signs of rain but in reality it being
carbon residue which hovered over the sky whenever there was weaponry tests being conducted in the vicinity. His deep hazel eyes turned lifeless as we was staring into
the equally lifeless sky as he felt a hand grabbing his shoulders; but before he could react a confident and presenting voice reached his ears "Isn't it beautiful?
The endless cape which always looked down upon us with it's obnoxiously bright and embezelling presence ,so bright so brilliant the even looking directly at it was
a challenge not for the weak. But now look at it so calm and helpless that anyone could gaze upon it and still go about their days. Hmmm i certainly love seeing it so
lifeless . Well deserved."
Was he talking about the sky ? Adon wondered as he heard a snicker beside him. "Quite the sadist aren't you? Even i admire the quite sky, but to describe it in that way? You must be a nutjob."
"This nutjob has a name and it's Vincent. Clearly some of us have better and more creative thinking than others and you seem to be the type who's always trying to be
a goody-two shoes when you know that you're no better than the people you put down. Nice to meet you too, Adon. Vincent? The name suddenly rang a bell in his mind.
Adon remembered seeing the name Vincent being the artillery and shadow captain and Adon being the field captain. Meaning vincent was going to be assisting Adon
in this mission. Vincent had left a strong impression on Adon by clearly asserting dominance over him and a surprisingly confident and welcoming presence. Suddenly it all came back to him.
This was Vicent Hanz a.k.a mercenary foxglove and Adon confirmed it by his small bell earring pierced in his ear. He was the most feared government mercenary after the late ex major colonel himself. Before Adon was sent off to his previous year long mission he came across the news of Vincent captivated by another country's government. But now seeing how he's been released under a year definitely made him realize that Vincent was an extremely important aspect for Zwireich military. But so was he himself. The two of the most vicious government agents were assigned onto to same exact mission. Meaning that this was no ordinary go to mission. This was the beginning of a chain of events that were going to have unimaginable impact on the world.
" We will be leaving for the targeted location tomorrow, ugh finally! I couldn't bear to survive eating the dogshit food they serve here; And as they say that food makes the world go round right?"
"Yeah i'm most certain that no one says that anymore. And anyways where is this so-called targeted location anyways I didn't catch it's name." Vincent tossed over the file to Adon. His eyes widened as he stared onto the name of the location. All the hazy memories suddenly came back to Adon as he conflicted and calmed himself down "(N-no i-it can't be)" Adon thought to himself while still looking so pale as if he'd seen a ghost. Vincent shot him a teasing look, "No way dude are you dyslexic or something hahaha. Fine, I'll read it out for you since I'm such a great colleague. The place where the AHL headquarters are located
and our next mission is in R-".....
