Chapter 0054: Critical Intelligence
Boom!
The earth shook with a deafening explosion. Before me lay a massive crater, about ten meters in diameter and over five meters deep. Cracks spider-webbed out from the center, crisscrossing the ground in all directions.
One punch! Just one punch had this much power...
This was the result of my two months of intense training — a combination of brute strength and the power of the Sky Dragon. And this was just the beginning.
As I continued to develop the legacy of the Sky Dragon King, my growth would only become more astonishing. The power I gained in exchange for ten years of my life? It was worth every second.
"Hm? So you managed to dodge at the last second with a sand clone?" I retracted my fist, my gaze cool as I looked to the side. "Not bad."
Standing where I was looking was the Sand ninja named Junpei, his face drenched in cold sweat. The terror in his eyes from witnessing my punch was evident.
But battle instincts built up over the years kicked in quickly. He raised his hands in front of his chest and formed a series of hand seals at lightning speed. Then, slamming his right hand into the ground, he unleashed his jutsu.
"Earth Style: Cracking Earth Palm!"
An Earth Style user too? That was a bit unexpected.
The ground beneath him split apart, and massive chunks of rock shot toward me like a barrage of cannonballs.
But instead of retreating, I leapt into the air, raising my left arm and clenching my hand into a claw. A cyan light gathered in my palm.
"Sky Dragon's Shattering Fang!"
Boom!
As I slashed with my claw, the very air around me seemed to be torn apart. The rock projectiles aimed at me shattered like fragile pieces of paper, disintegrating into dust and scattering in the wind.
Junpei's eyes widened in disbelief as he witnessed his jutsu fall apart like it was nothing. He couldn't comprehend how his Earth Style technique was rendered so utterly useless.
Thud.
A dull sound rang out.
Junpei's body trembled, and he looked down at his chest. Two deep, bloody gashes had torn through his torso, and blood mixed with fragments of his organs gushed out from the wounds.
"Ha... ha..." He stared at me as I approached, trying to say something, but only unintelligible sounds escaped his throat. Then, his consciousness faded into eternal darkness.
I watched emotionlessly as his body crumpled to the ground. Walking over, I began searching his corpse. It wasn't long before I found a scroll, dark brown in color, clutched in his hand.
The seal on the scroll was reinforced with a special kind of barrier. If I tried to force it open, the entire scroll would turn to ash instantly.
But that won't be a problem.
Thanks to the scroll Minato-sensei gave me, I had already become proficient in both creating and breaking seals. It didn't take long for me to deactivate the barrier, and I opened the scroll immediately.
It was filled with dense writing, detailing the Sand Village's movements over the next few days, their mission objectives, and even a map of their headquarters' defenses and military positions. This was critical information.
Without wasting any more time, I slipped the scroll into my ninja pouch and turned back toward the Leaf Village's headquarters.
…
Inside the main tent at the Leaf Village headquarters, Tsunade was delivering a pre-battle briefing. Her voice rang out clearly, filling the room.
"Based on our current intelligence, the Land of Wind is fighting on two fronts, while we're up against three enemies. The Sand Village has mobilized around ten thousand soldiers for this war. About six thousand are stationed in the direction of the Stone Village, and the remaining four thousand are confronting us."
"However, on our western front, we only have around two thousand five hundred soldiers. In terms of numbers, we're at a disadvantage. And without Sakumo Hatake, we've lost our sharpest blade to break through the Sand ninjas' lines…"
Tsunade gritted her teeth at this point, her anger evident.
"To lose someone like the White Fang of the Leaf because of such a ridiculous reason... I can't believe how brainless the higher-ups in the village are. Do they even have a single functioning brain cell?!" Unable to contain her rage any longer, she slammed her fist into the desk in front of her.
Boom!
The desk shattered into pieces instantly.
And beyond that, a massive crack, about two meters wide, snaked its way out of the tent, forming a long trench in the ground.
Gulp.
I swallowed hard as I stood at the entrance of the tent, scroll in hand.
Maybe now isn't the best time to hand over the intel...
Even though the information I'd stolen from the Sand ninja was important, it wasn't urgent. Yeah... maybe it could wait just a little bit.
[New options generated!]
[Host, choose one of the following options:]
[-> Option one: Strip off your clothes and walk into the tent, using your warm body to calm your angry, beautiful teacher.]
[-> Option two: Genuinely express concern: "Sensei, please don't be so angry... your oppai might explode!"]
[-> Option three: Raise your hands and shout: "Sensei, I need a hug! A kiss! And to be lifted high!"]
[Note: On Failure, your eyes will be replaced with vaginas.]
Pfft!
I nearly spat out blood. What the hell is wrong with this system?! Did it seriously want me to die in the most miserable way possible?!
And the fuck is with the note?
