Anyone who has watched Bleach would know that this is a powerful defensive Kido spell, and its effectiveness depends on the caster's strength.
However, I didn't even consider it before tossing this option out.

The Sand ninjas panicked. Some tried to run, some stood frozen in despair, and some stubbornly fired off more ninjutsu at the approaching beam. But it was all in vain.
Crack, crack… BOOM!
Everything the beam touched was obliterated. The ground beneath it tore open, leaving a half-meter-deep trench in its wake, stretching forward as the beam advanced.
Annihilation.
This was true annihilation.

"It wasn't me," Ishigaki Tomoki replied, his single eye now focused on me with a smile. "It was that kid."
He went on, "You were so rattled by the defeat that you didn't even notice. But it's no big deal. You won't have a chance to make the same mistake again." His voice carried deadly intent as he launched himself at Ryunosuke.
Indeed, that roar of mine, the Dragon's Roar, didn't just obliterate the Sand ninjas in front of me. It also shattered the Wind Demon barrier that had been restraining Ishigaki Tomoki. All of this was intentional on my part.
But after that one move, my body felt completely drained. I collapsed to the ground with a thud, my eyelids growing heavy.
"Hiroto, are you okay?"
"Hang on, I'll heal you."
The sight of the kunai still embedded in my back must've been horrifying. Tears welled up in both of their eyes again.
"I'm... I'm fine..." I forced a smile, but it didn't last. In the next instant, that smile collapsed into a grimace of pain. The transition from bravado to misery was instant.
Then came the choices.
