Chapter 1 - How to summon a demon lord

How to summon a demon lord

A cold breeze brushed past, atop a large tower. The expanse of blue that is the heavens above allowed the light to shine brightly on the three individuals atop that tower.

Two of the three individuals were bickering among themselves as the third sat quietly, with arms crossed and in a deep transce. His eyes were closed.

The man was dressed in dark, luxurious robes that were adorned with complex arcane symbols. These robes served to conceal his true appearance, but the aura that surrounded him betrayed his immense power, giving the impression that he hailed from another realm entirely.

Flowing snow-white hair crowned his head. Just below his right eye, there was a small, barely noticeable scar that was almost invisible due to its thinness. Despite its subtlety, it marred his otherwise flawless complexion, which bore no signs of imperfection.

"Let's, just get this ceremony over with!" Yelled a small woman, almost childlike in her body shape, with long black hair that reached down to her waist. Her ears and tail were also black, as were her eyes, which indicated her race as a pantherian.

"Okay, let's do this." Replied a mature-bodied woman with long, golden blonde hair, some of which was braided, and a grass decoration adorned her head. As an elf, she had long, tapered ears. Unlike many other female elves, she had large breasts.

I Malakai, the Demon King of Primordial Darkness, sat on my throne in my castle, feeling a sense of frustration and disappointment. Receiving a report from one of my daemons, who served as a messenger to my subordinate Darius. The report had been irritating, and I had found myself growing increasingly agitated while listening to it.

Darius had fled from his post after his colossal failure to capture a peasant boy and girl. I was shocked and disappointed to learn of his failure, as I had expected one of my top commanders to be able to handle such a simple task. How had he let the peasant children escape?

I ordered the daemon to send out two search parties - one to secure the peasant children and the other to capture Darius. The daemon promptly left to carry out my orders, and I sank back into my throne.

After some time, the frustration resided, overcome by tiredness. I slowly began to doze off into a slumber before I was awoken by a loud, sharp blast.

As I turned to the side to see what was causing such a sound, I was surprised to see a large, white, shiny beast. Though it wasn't as large as a dragon, it had somehow broken through my magical barrier that surrounded the castle and somehow broken through the castle walls all the way to the throne room! How had none of the servants or guards reported this to me?

Before I could even react, it had already crushed me under its weight! But how!?!?!? No other entity could even scratch me other than my damned siblings... not to mention my regeneration wasn't working! No, a being like this could never exist in this world.

None of my magic was working either. Whatever this creature was, it could restrict my magic? I did not fear death. I was an immortal entity. As long as my soul wasn't harmed, I would just be reborn anyway. Such is the curse of samsara…

///

I had expected to be reborn after my death by that strange entity. However, it seemed mother fate had different plans for me. I wasn't reborn; I had been teleported to a new location.

I am atop a structure, seemingly a tower of some sort. There were two women near me, bickering about summoning something—probably me, if I had to guess. That explains why I suddenly appeared here. Observing my body, I am completely healed. The injuries of my previous battle are nowhere to be seen.

Curiosity took over me. I lifted my right hand and casted the mirror spell. Looking at my face, I saw it still… The scar still remained. Feeling it, the painful memory resurfaced—something that I had suppressed for many years… A sigh escaped my breath.

Observing the two women, I saw that one was a demi-human and the other was a busty elf. I turned my attention to whatever their disagreement was about.

"I am the one that has summoned Malakai!" Both yelled out simultaneously.

"It's me!"

"No it was me!"

As I listened, I got more irritated by them, squabbling over something as measly as a summoning? Who were they anyway? Do they not know who I am? I am Malakai, The Demon King of Primordial Darkness!

Not to sound braggadocios, but I was one of the strongest beings in the world! Other than a few of my other siblings and whatever that entity was that had killed me.

Eventually, one of the girls approached me. It was the demi-human.

"Do you understand my words"

"I do comprehend your language, mortal. Now, allow me to inquire as to my current whereabouts?" I replied, I was curious as to where I am currently due to the teleportation.

"It spoke!!!" The elf with a shocked face loudly said.

"I'm surprised it understood words, let alone be able to speak." The two insects went back to bickering amongst each other.

A tempestuous storm brewed. Each passing moment of neglect fanned the embers of indignation inside me. They completely ignored me…

"I order you in the name of Rem-"

"Prostrate yourselves," I commanded, my voice imbued with a compelling enchantment that forced obedience upon all who heard it.

Both of them swiftly fell. They both attempted to resist, yet each time they attempted, their bodies defied their will. They found themselves incapable of doing anything but lying flat on the ground, head touching the ground, towards me. submitting completely.

"Hear and obey diligently, for I will not tolerate the repetition of your actions. I am Malakai, the Demon King of Primordial Darkness. I answer to no one. Were it not for my need for information, you would not now be drawing breath. Do you comprehend this?" They nodded solemnly in agreement.

"Very well, now respond to my question. In what location do I find myself?" I asked.
