When Lucien jumped out of his room, his face was frozen in stone. The air was tense. The fighters in the pack were tense as they rushed to get ready for Alec's rogue forces to attack. Everyone could feel the attack coming. Lucien was getting ready for this, but when he heard that our shields had been broken, it hit him hard. I was to blame.
I hid in the corner of the room, my heart pounding as I watched Lucien tell his subordinates what to do. His voice was strong and sharp, like a knife. He was dead set on finding the leak's source, and I knew my time was running out.
"Strengthen the eastern border guards," Lucien ordered. "We can't afford another breach. I want a thorough investigation. Someone's been leaking info to Alec, and I want them found."
His words hit me like a blow, twisting my insides. The walls seemed to close in. Lucien was getting closer to the truth. Once he knew, he couldn't go back.
