Chapter 20 - chapter 20- The kiss

Zayn pov

I stood there, frozen, watching as Amira threw herself into another man's arms—*my* girl, hugging someone else. My mind struggled to process it, like a nightmare unfolding before my eyes. The way she smiled at him, that light in her eyes, it was unbearable. For a second, I couldn't believe it. My blood roared in my ears, and all I could think about was ripping them apart.

Before I knew it, I stormed down the stairs, my feet pounding against the pavement with fury in every step. The jealousy, the possessiveness, the sheer *rage* bubbling up inside me like lava. And then my fist flew. A solid punch, right to his smug face. He staggered back, clutching his jaw, and I couldn't even bring myself to feel guilty about it.

But then Amira, *my sweet pie*, turned on me. The sting of her slap came out of nowhere, and my face burned from the impact. Her eyes were wild with anger, filled with betrayal, and she didn't hesitate to grab his arm, leading him away from me as if *I* was the problem. My chest tightened, an ache spreading through me, but I stayed rooted to the spot, watching them go.

For a few moments, I couldn't move. The rain began to fall, slow at first, but it quickly turned into a downpour. My clothes clung to my skin, and I barely noticed. The only thing I could focus on was the overwhelming anger burning inside me and the thought of *her* leaving with someone else.

I stood there, drenched, as the seconds turned into minutes. The rain made the world around me blurry, but I didn't care. She was mine. She'd always been mine. So what was she doing with another guy? That thought gnawed at me, twisting the knife of jealousy even deeper. My jaw clenched as I tried to calm the storm raging within me, but the more I thought about it, the more furious I became.

Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw her returning. Her dress was soaked through, clinging to every curve, the fabric plastered against her body, revealing more than she probably intended. Her hair stuck to her face, and her eyes locked onto me like she was ready for a fight. She stormed toward me, and before I could say a word, she grabbed my collar, yanking me closer.

"How dare you," she hissed, her voice trembling with anger, her grip tight.

I stared down at her, the fire in her eyes only fueling my own rage. I growled, my voice low and dangerous. "How dare you hug another man?" My words came out more bitter than I intended, and I could see the shock in her eyes, the way her grip loosened slightly on my collar. She didn't have a response. She knew exactly what she was doing, and it drove me insane.

Without thinking, I reached out and grabbed her wrists, gripping them tightly, pulling her closer. Her body tensed, and she struggled, trying to pull away from me, but I held firm. The rain fell harder, soaking us both, but neither of us seemed to care. The only thing that mattered was the tension between us, crackling like electricity.

"Let me go!" she snapped, her voice defiant, though I could hear the faintest tremor of uncertainty beneath her anger. "Who do you think you are to order me around?"

I stepped back slightly, still holding her wrists, creating just enough space between us. My eyes burned into hers, and I leaned down, my voice dropping to a low, dangerous whisper. "You really want to know who I am?" I dragged her hands down, forcing them to rest against the bulge in my jeans. Her eyes widened, and I could see the shock wash over her face, her breath hitching in her throat. "*This* is what you do to me," I growled. "Every damn time. I've stayed controlled, kept my distance, but now... now I see you hugging some other guy when you already know you have *me*."

Her face flushed red with anger—or maybe something else—but I didn't care. The heat of her hands against me only made the tension between us more unbearable. My arousal surged, and I could see the way she tried to resist, her fingers twitching as if she wanted to pull away. But it wasn't enough.

Her lips, slick with raindrops, glistened in the dim light, and I felt a primal urge rise in me. My gaze fixated on them, the way they trembled slightly, the way her chest heaved with each breath. Every move she made only inflamed my desire more. Her resistance was weak, her body betraying her, and I couldn't stop myself.

I pinned both her wrists behind her, using my single hand and with other hand I grip the back of her neck, pulling her face up to meet mine. Her eyes were wide with shock, but before she could protest, I crushed my lips against hers. She fought me, her body thrashing in my hold, her muffled protests swallowed by the rain and the kiss. But her struggling only made me tighten my grip, one arm holding her wrists behind her back, the other tangled in her wet hair, forcing her closer.

Her chest pressed against mine, her wet clothes making every sensation more intense. I could feel her heart racing against me, her breath ragged as she tried to push me away, but I wasn't going to let her. She was mine, and I was going to claim what was mine.

She tried to say something—maybe "stop," maybe something else—but I deepened the kiss, forcing her to submit to the pull between us. Her lips, soft and sweet beneath the rain, were too tempting, too intoxicating. My tongue slid against hers, and despite her initial resistance, I felt her body slowly start to give in. Her chest brushed against mine, the friction only stoking the fire between us.

I pulled back slightly, just enough to look into her eyes, my grip still firm on her wrists. I breathed against her lips.

She stared at me, her eyes still wide with shock, her lips swollen from the kiss. She looked furious, confused, and something else—something she was trying to hide. I could see it in the way her breath caught, in the way her body shuddered slightly against mine. But I wasn't going to push her any further. Not yet.

With one last, lingering kiss, I released her, stepping back slightly. The rain continued to pour down around us, and she stood there, frozen, her arms still held behind her back, her chest rising and falling with quick, shallow breaths.

"You're mine, Amira. Remember that."
