Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Tokyo Life

This book is a Chinese translation with no sign of nationalism, a rare one and good one so please enjoy

------------------------

Tokyo, Shibuya.

Morning

Beside a tranquil river, a handsome young boy was sprinting at full speed.

His breathing became more rapid, and sweat had already soaked through his clothes.

Though he had long surpassed his physical limits, he still gritted his teeth and pushed himself to keep running.

**[Physique +1!]**

Finally.

After days of pushing his body to the edge, a crisp sound echoed in his mind.

The moment he gained the attribute point, his physical condition improved significantly. His muscle density and bone strength were notably enhanced.

The fatigue caused by his earlier exercise vanished instantly.

In its place was a refreshing and invigorating sensation, leaving him feeling as though he could keep running for a long time.

But Shindai Hakuka didn't continue.

He glanced at his wristwatch, noticing it was nearly time for his high school entrance ceremony.

If he didn't head back now, he might be late on his first day.

So, Shindai Hakuka turned a corner ahead, preparing to head home.

Before long, he entered a narrow, quiet alley and looked up at the old building standing at the corner of the street.

It was a two-story structure, its walls showing the wear and tear of time. The white paint had faded, exposing the aging surface beneath.

**Creak.**

The door opened, and Shindai Hakuka stepped inside quietly.

He stood in the living room, looking toward the kitchen. Noticing that no one was making breakfast, he quickly deduced that his aunt had probably overworked herself yesterday and wasn't up yet.

He didn't mind. After a month of living here, he had already gotten used to it.

Shindai Hakuka grabbed an unopened barley tea bottle from the table, twisted off the cap, and took a deep drink.

**Gulp. Gulp.**

The cool tea flowed into his body, gradually cooling him down after the intense exercise.

After hydrating, he headed to the bathroom to wash up.

Taking off his sweat-drenched shirt, he revealed his defined abs.

Seeing his reflection in the mirror, Shindai Hakuka's usually indifferent gaze wavered slightly as memories resurfaced.

He used to be an ordinary office worker, and his name had been Hakuka then, too.

Bored before going to bed one night, he had downloaded a life-based mobile game and played it for a while before drifting off to sleep.

When he woke up, he found that he had crossed over into this world, taking over the body of the original Shindai Hakuka, who had attempted suicide due to heartbreak and the death of his parents.

This world was remarkably similar to Earth but called the Blue Planet.

After crossing over, Shindai Hakuka found that the life-based mobile game he had played seemed to be bound to him.

Once he figured out how this virtual game interface worked, he quickly pieced together the essentials.

As long as he leveled up any career, he would receive 1 attribute point and 1 skill point.

The more careers he unlocked and leveled up, the more he could continuously improve his attributes.

Attribute points allowed him to increase his four basic stats.

Skill points, however, were still a mystery to him, as he hadn't unlocked any skills yet.

Shindai Hakuka had considered putting his attribute points into physique right away, but after some thought, he held off.

From his experience playing the game before, he knew that, in the early stages, characters could improve their stats through training.

After experimenting with this in the real world, he found it to be true.

So, he planned to train until he hit a physical limit that he couldn't surpass through exercise alone, then use his points to enhance his stats.

This way, he could maximize the efficiency of his attribute points.

His plan was to unlock as many careers as possible to gather attribute points and improve all his stats.

Suddenly, the bathroom door was thrown open.

Shindai Hakuka's train of thought was disrupted, and he turned to look.

He was met with the sight of Shindai Erina staring at him in shock as he undressed, her face tinged with a slight blush before she quickly reverted to her usual expression of gritted teeth.

"Pervert!"

**Bang!**

The bathroom door slammed shut.

"..."

Shindai Hakuka fell silent. He could've sworn he locked the door. Could the lock be broken?

"Auntie, Hakuka's in there! Don't go in!" Shindai Erina shouted, warning someone.

A panicked voice came from the kitchen.

"Oh no... Wait, hold on! That's not right! You two need to hurry up, or you'll be late for the entrance ceremony!"

"Boo-hoo, I'm sorry, Erina! I stayed up too late working overtime last night. I need to get your breakfast ready!"

Though Shindai Hakuka couldn't see her, he could easily imagine his flustered aunt scrambling to make breakfast.

It was indeed getting late. The commute by subway to school would take some time, too.

Since it was his first day, he figured it was better to arrive early.

After a quick wash, Shindai Hakuka dressed and made his way to the kitchen.

There, Satou Ayaka was hastily preparing breakfast.

She had just taken some bacon from the fridge when she noticed a burnt smell coming from the pan.

Looking down, she saw that the eggs had already turned black. Tears welled up in Satou Ayaka's eyes, and she choked out:

"Boo-hoo... Hakuka, Erina, I'm sorry. I'm such a useless woman."

"I burned the eggs again..."

Shindai Erina, now dressed in her school uniform, rushed into the kitchen at the sound of the commotion.

Seeing the burnt eggs, she couldn't help but shake her head. She had always thought that leaving breakfast to Auntie was hopeless; she'd have to step in herself.

Patting her aunt's head gently, Shindai Erina teased with a mischievous grin.

"No worries, no worries. They're just a little burnt. They're still edible."

"At worst, we'll just make Hakuka eat them."

Satou Ayaka puffed up her cheeks in indignation and said, "You can't treat him like that! Hakuka is your older brother!"

"Hmph, not my real brother, so why should I care?" Shindai Erina mumbled under her breath, but after some thought, she sighed, "Fine, I'll do it."

Satou Ayaka hesitated, glancing at her niece. She was too timid to admit that Erina's cooking skills were even worse than her own.

"L-Let me handle it."

"Come on, it's just frying something. How hard can it be?" Shindai Erina insisted, taking the bacon from Satou Ayaka's hands and tossing it into the pan.

Satou Ayaka blinked in surprise, watching Erina's serious expression. She didn't dare mention that the bacon hadn't even been washed yet.

Before long, Shindai Hakuka emerged from the bathroom, fully dressed, and was promptly called to breakfast by Satou Ayaka.

"Hakuka... uh... come eat breakfast."

Shindai Hakuka walked over and looked at the table, where only toast remained. The burnt smell wafting from the kitchen left him momentarily speechless.

"Um... we're out of bacon and eggs, so today it's just bread," Satou Ayaka explained with an awkward smile, not mentioning that the food had been burnt.

She stole a glance at Shindai Erina, who remained indifferent, acting as if nothing had happened.

Shindai Hakuka was no stranger to this. He calmly sat down, closed his eyes, and said:

"Thank you for the meal."
