"Don't underestimate the potential of an experienced military industry," Tony Stark said with a smirk. "There's still plenty you've yet to learn."
While New Stark Industries had shifted to focus on lighter industries and energy, Tony reminded Zod that it could still produce military-grade equipment if needed.
"Mr. Heath, may I ask a question?" Susan Storm spoke up.
Susan, as the Fantastic Four's representative in the Association, raised a concern about Zod's proposed structure for the Superhero Association.
"Of course, Invisible Woman," Zod responded, turning his attention to her.
"Your system is undeniably impressive," Susan began, acknowledging his vision. "But won't this kind of structure eventually create bureaucracy and corruption, like in other flawed organizations? It could lead to heroes competing for rank or resources instead of focusing on justice."
Others nodded in agreement. They had joined the Superhero Association with pure motives, inspired by Zod's leadership, and feared becoming the kind of people they once despised.
"No system is without flaws, and even a perfect system can be corrupted," Zod admitted. "That's why we need safeguards, a balanced system of rewards and accountability. And above all, a truly selfless leader who can steer the Association without personal ambition."
He continued, "Additionally, we'll establish an Overseer—a symbolic 'Sword of Damocles' to monitor and discipline any hero who strays from our ideals."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "That kind of power could easily be misused."
Zod nodded. "Which is why I will take on the leadership role myself. I have wealth, reputation, and influence—things that insulate me from the usual temptations. For the position of Overseer, I have someone in mind, though it's vacant for now."
Reluctantly, the others agreed. Zod's reputation, coupled with his role as the Association's founder, gave him an unmatched level of trust.
A staff member approached. "Mr. Zod, the reporters are ready."
Outside, reporters were already gathered, eager to cover the unveiling of the Superhero Association Building. With a confident stride, Zod entered the press area, unfazed by the flash of cameras.
"Mr. Zodhis, will the identities of other superheroes in the Association be made public?" asked one reporter.
Zod fixed the reporter with a cold stare, making him shift uncomfortably. "What's your reason for asking? Curiosity? Gossip?"
The reporter stammered, "I-I'm just curious. It's human nature."
Zod's expression hardened. "Do you understand the risks to heroes if their identities are exposed? These people risk their lives to protect you, and now you ask to jeopardize them?"
Other reporters murmured, taking his side.
In a frustrated outburst, the reporter fired back, "If the Association is funded by public donations, then the public has a right to know!"
Zod scoffed. "The Superhero Association is not funded by donations. Blade Technology Industry shoulders all costs."
As murmurs of surprise spread, Zod continued, "Blade Technology Industry stands behind the Association completely. We ask nothing in return. Heroes should only have to worry about their work, not their safety from the people they protect."
The room fell silent, but one reporter muttered bitterly, "So you think you can do whatever you want just because you're rich?"
Zod met his gaze, unflinching. "Having resources allows you to take action where others can't. But I don't expect everyone to understand that."
He turned back to the crowd, dismissing further questions. With Zod and Blade Technology at the helm, the Superhero Association had the financial stability to truly support its heroes, and no amount of criticism would deter his vision.
